I got this as a sample at Ulta, last time I made a UD purchase. It’s ok. I almost always use lash primers, and find that buying high end is a waste of money. L’Oréal Voluminous lash primer is about $10, and out of all those I’ve tried, high end and low, it performs the best.
One day I used the UD Subversion on one eye, and L’Oréal on the other, followed by my usual mascara. The L’Oréal primer eye lashes looked much better. I’m not sure about the wand in the full size, but the sample had a square end, and the L’Oréal one is tapered, which I like better, especially for getting into smaller areas in the corners. I’ll stick the the less pricey option.

I do not understand the poor rates. I like this eye lash primer. It makes mascara look more beautiful and stay in place. The curling effect is also guaranteed. I usually buy the dior maximizer, but this one is slightly cheaper and does a very decent job. Good alternative.

Ok primer – I don’t like the brush and it’s very hard to apply the product without being too clumpy. Once it’s on, it does add length and volume to my lashes. I wanted to give this a try because generally I do like Urban Decay products! But prefer the Dior Diorshow Maximizer primer however, so I will be going back to that.

I bought this about six months ago and was underwhelmed initially, however after rediscovering it and doing some comparisons (one eye with, one eye without), I am now very fond of it. I’ve had no trouble with the brush or the application – yes, it does look a bit clumpy when you first put it on but when I apply a coat of Perversion mascara over the top it looks great and no lumps or clumps in evidence. It definitely ‘beefs up’ my lashes and makes the mascara look and last better. Hangover eyelashes look nearly as good as the ones that went out the night before. I haven’t tried it with any other mascaras but it works extremely well for me with the UD Perversion. I can’t get excited about it, it isn’t the sexiest product, but it’s a real workhorse that’s earned a long term place in my makeup bag.

My high hopes for this lash primer were sadly crushed. First off, the wand has a ridiculous brush that makes no sense. It clumps the lashes together and does nothing for curl or length. I can’t really tell if the formula is any good since the brush is so awful. Maybe I’ll try it with a different brush. Save your money and buy one of these lash primers instead;
1. Diorshow Maximizer
2. Lancome Cils Booster XL
Both are amazing at creating length, volume, definition, curl and seperation. Total HG status for me. Urban decay needs to work on their lash products in my opinion.

I’m on the fence about this one. The primer is great but the wand totally ruins it. The sample size works better than the full-size for sure. For reference, UD Perversion Mascara is one of my all-time top 2 fave mascaras; however their primer needs work.
I LOVE the formula but i abhor the brush!!! It’s not totally round/cylindrical and is kinda flat on two sides so it loads waaaaaay to much product on the wand and the wand performs like trying to apply primer to your lashes with a kitchen spatula. I feel & it looks like I’m applying wall spackle to my lashes. I actually threw the original wand away and replaced it with a clean wand from a used up Benefit ‘They’re Real’ mascara. That wand works magic because it’s stiff enough to hold it’s shape and separate the coated lashes out. It coats the lashes without making them a clumped up mess. When this tube is gone, I’ll probably go back to either Clinique’s lash primer (great wand & product) or Tarte’s. Maybe UD will relaunch with a new wand.

I bought this as i had been using the Dior eyelash primer which is massively expensive so i thought i would try this as a much cheaper alternative. I liked it to begin with as it seemed to go on nicely and apply evenly. This didn’t last. After a while it started to form great clumps every time i tried to apply it.This made it very difficult to apply evenly and i would spend ages trying to even it out. Just turned out to be very messy in the end and after not even owning it for 3 months I’ve thrown it out. It’s a real disappointment as Urban Decay are usually brilliant. I wouldn’t recommend this and i feel I’ve wasted money instead of saving it ????.

I love this product. It moisturizers your lashes and makes application and removal so much easier.
You can let it dry between coats to make your lashes as thick or as long as you desire.
I use so much less mascara with this primer.
It will boost any mascara you have.
Downside though is it seems the bottle will dry up quickly (don’t pump the bottle!)
It’s a tad expensive but I love it so much that I will suck it up.
I wish it had a brush that would help separate the lashes a bit more.
I would recommend this to everyone. You will love it. If you don’t the first time, just keep experimenting with it. You will fall in love.

I luuurrrvvveee this primer! I got a sample sized version with the UD Perversion mascara, but out of the two this is by far my favourite. In fact, I’ve just repurchased it.
Overall it gives a really good base to apply your mascara over the top of. I find it helps my mascara stick to my lashes better too, helping them to look thicker and longer. And I’ve noticed that if I use this first, I don’t have to use as many coats of mascara to get the look I’m aiming for.
The only slight downside with this primer, and the reason for my 4/5 lippies, is it dries up really quickly. I can just about squeeze 3 weeks worth of use out of a standard tube before it dries up completely and I can’t get anything more out of it. Other than that though, it’s a pretty awesome product and one I’ll definitely repurchase again and again.

This seems to be a love/hate product, but I have to say I love/like it. I gave it four lippies, because of the price. I think it is over priced. It does the job as a primer and makes my lashes thicker and longer but a few others do it too for a lot less, I remember Revlon had an amazing primer a while ago ( I don’t think they sell the mascara anymore….boo!) and it was just as good. Please UD lower your prices, You would get more customers if you did. I can not tell you how many times I have asked people if they have this primer and they said cost was the issue. Overall, its a great primer. Works so great with waterproof mascara as well. Just wish it wasn’t 20$
