This top coat isn’t a bad one considering what you can find at the drug store. It works fairly well as a base coat, but the older the product gets, (being a few weeks) the more bubbles I found. As a base coat, if you put on a thin layer, it dries quickly enough once you put it on all your ten nails, your first nail is ready for polish.
As a top coat is does create and nice shine, but it does not dry quickly. You have to be careful with your nails for about a good hour for it not to mark. But generally, I would be careful in general for a good day before I feel feel comfortable with whacking my hands into things so to speak.
I never use this top coat at night, or if I do, I out on another layer in the morning. This is as, you will get bed marks on your nails as you sleep.
Overall I would say buy this product if you haven’t found anything better.

This is the perfect MNBB polish. The one I have has a white tint to it. Others I’ve seen only are clear. I much prefer the white tint because it leaves my nails looking just a bit brighter and whiter. Definitely hides yellowing.
I apply one thin coat, let it dry at least an hour, then apply a second. Sometimes I use one coat only. It provides a lovely color all by itself, and it lasts a few days. I’ve never had a polish last me longer than a week–something to do with my own chemistry, I guess. But I love this stuff. Even when it’s starting to chip at the tips, that’s not immediately apparent. Makes my nails super healthy, as long as I keep up with it.

My nails have definitely gotten stronger since I started using this. They’re pretty long now and I haven’t broken a single nail in over a month.

I have had only 2 bottles of this in the last 17 years. I just put some on today, and was wondering if it is still around or heaven forbid, discontinued. I’ve read other reviews / complaints, and decided to chime in. I think the secret to long lasting nail polish is making sure your nails are clean and oil free. Use polish remover on your nails before applying polish; even if there is no polish on them. Keep this and all nail polish in a drawer and out of the light. The bottle i am using today is at least 8 years old and it is not sticky, gooey, thick, etc. I replace the polish on my finger nails once a week, and on my toe nails once every 3 weeks. I have never had an issue with chipping. Especially on toes. It is super shiny and beautiful. Love this stuff!!!

I don’t like this as a base coat but it’s a decent top coat, it really gives a nice shiny finish to the nail polish and seems to prolong the wear.

I have never had good luck with Sally Hansen products, and this is no exception. After a day my nail polish is peeling off, even with Seche Vite or Out the Door top coat. It also remains tacky forever, so my polish never fully sets. This is such a disappointing product.

This product is TERRIBLE!! Sure they are pretty and shiny for maybe the first and second day but the good ends there. I’ve had the product for quite some time now, and used about half the bottle. The product is now thick and sticky, its so hard to apply. I might as well throw it away! Nails don’t last long, with chipping sometimes happening the very next day. Disappointing Sally Hansen, get your sh*t together!

I prefer this to Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri Top Coat, and this is why …
I use Double Duty as base coat once, and as a top coat over my nail varnish twice, letting it dry for a good ten minutes in between. Yes, it’s a lengthy process compared to the Insta-Dri – but I’ve noticed when I use Double Duty this way, the results are always great.
My nails feel stronger, my nail varnish doesn’t chip for over a good week, and the varnish doesn’t bubble over on the nail (like the Insta-Dri).
So far, DD hasn’t thickened / congealed like the Insta-Dri, which is good.
Would definitely buy again.
EDIT: It has thickened congealed after a year, but I suppose it’s time to buy a new one right?

I received this as a freebie from Sally Hansen after writing to them about returning another Sally Hansen polish that I didn’t like the formula of.
Sally Hansen (Coty) were very gracious and when I returned the polish I was unhappy with they sent me a replacement polish, this basecoat and the Instadri Topcoat along with some pointers on how to make my manicure’s last longer.
I love this stuff. I have only been using it as a basecoat. I put it on, I leave it to dry for a few minutes and then I do my colour layers. Its been doing the job and doing it well. My nails haven’t suffered from a lot of staining and even when I did use one of my polishes that I know stains badly it stopped the colour from sinking through.
With this product I am happy with the life of my manicures and I’m happy with its performance as a basecoat.
It did start to thicken once I got halfway through the bottle but a few drops of the OPI Polish Thinner in the bottle after every use is keeping the consistency as good as the day I received it.
I would definitely repurchase and recommend that people give this basecoat a try.

This is better used as a clear coat to make nails shiny and keep them protected. It does not serve well as either a base coat or top coat unless in a pinch as I find my manicures chip way too quickly with this. Price is ok for a double duty base/top coat but I won’t likely repurchase.
