This peachy beige colour was a mistake for me but because of a bumpy transaction BB allowed me to keep it for free. I am fair/neutral with blue eyes and blonde hair (hope this helps someone else) but very pigmented rosy lips. This didn’t go with my undertones at all. It was fighting me. I’ll layer a pink toned gloss over it to pick it up. The formula is great though and I have it in lilac which is amazing.

I have it in plum, and love it…. super creamy, very easy to apply, doesn’t dry or smudge. All in all, a very comfortable red lipstick without the drama. It is not long wear, but it is such a pleasure to apply that I don’t mind doing so.

I actually have a sample of this in “Babe”, not “Bare”. It’s a nice neutral medium pink. It goes well with my fair skin. I like the creamy texture. It’s comfortable to wear even when my lips are dry. I would like to try other colors.

Man do I ever love this. Something that promises a “just-kissed stain” effect in a matte finish? You have my attention.
Trying to be good and use up my lipstick collection, I was holding off on this one, because it’s $29. When I bought some foundation, however, Sephora had an option to try a deluxe sample of this, so I opted to try the shade Ruby, a mid-tone ruby red (according to the product description). I’m loving this, too. It’s like a true neutral red — not too cool and not too warm, by my estimation, though I’d say it leans a tiny bit toward warm, which I prefer. It applies like a balm and has this wonderful blend of looking like a sheer, but pigmented lipstick that is also blotted and matte. I love it. It feels comfortable, with no scent or flavor, and while it isn’t going to outlast a greasy burger or anything, it’s got a bit of staying power and is easy to touch up on the go.
For a deluxe sample I ended up with a lot of product, too, 0.07 oz/2.25 g, which is as much as some other brands’ full-size offerings.(Other Bobbi Brown samples/Sephora point redemptions have included the same generous amount of lipstick, too, so yay for them.)
For $29 I hate the price, but with a coupon, a winning lottery ticket, or once I use up some of my massive lipstick collection, this will be a repeat purchase.

Bobbi Brown has recently introduced their Crushed Lip Color which is another kind of lip balm / lipstick. This is a very creamy formula and is also non-drying. The color is very buildable but since this isn’t a matte lipstick it doesn’t have the long staying power and if you eat or drink there will be some very slight transferring and you will need to reapply. For this type of formula I do find this to be longer lasting than most. What I appreciate more is that this lipstick has minimal taste, if any. I am very thankful because I really dislike lipsticks that have a lot of taste or fragrance.

Love this product! In full disclosure, I’m a lipstick fan with many products in my possession. And yet I’ve worn this everyday since I bought it. That’s three days in a row, folks!
I’m chocolate brown with reddish undertones. The Cherry shade is absolute perfection for me. The real truth. And the formula is sheer enough for me to wear red everyday if I want.
The instructions say you only need to swipe this once on your lips to get the stained look. That’s a bit too little for me. Instead, I stop at 3 swipes on each lip. The product gets a little thicker and shiny in a pretty way once your lips warm it up in about 5 minutes or so. Natural and pretty at the same time!

I ordered two of these in Bare and Cranberry, and received a mini in a warm pink shade. (Babe.) Bare is a terrific, MLBB deepe nude. I don’t see much pink; I would call it a peach-based nude, but neutral. My skin is difficult to pair with nudes; C3/C4/NC40, and this is pretty much perfect. It’s a very, very similar color to NYX “I Woke Up Like This” lip oil. It’s not a pale nude.
It’s not a sheer lipstick, nor is it opaque. Balm-like texture. Not shiny; I would say semi-matte? It’s very natural, and very pretty. I’m 50, and find matte can equal corpse lips on me, and this did not do that. For some reason, it made my lips look full. There was no patchy reapply, no pilling, no weird wear-off. This is an impressive lipstick for people who hate lipstick. Lasting time is a couple of hours. The mini, Babe, is described as a cool pink on the site; I feel like it’s a warm pink; I can actually use it, as cool pinks make me look like Pennywise the clown. I haven’t tried the Cranberry yet, but overall I recommend these highly. I think Telluride is next for me. Make sure to Google swatches of these, and I have found that the BB website describes them to be cooler than they are.
