Bated Breath is a beautiful colour – deep red/plum without being too purple, and with enough warmth in it. It’s the colour I’ve been searching for for years and as soon as I saw a swatch on Temptalia I ran out and bought it. It feels nice and moisturising on the lips and is medium coverage, so it’s not heavy and looks so flattering on my light medium, neutral toned skin. I would compare the finish and feel to the Revlon Lip Butters.
However, I’m so disappointed with the wear time. This just disappears. I can manage to completely erase this while just existing. I don’t need to eat or drink to have this completely disappear on me. So disappointing. This colour would be perfect if not for this fact. 🙁

I am quite a fan of these new Love Me lipsticks. They feel so nice. It feels like if a Creamsheen and Lustre had a baby, I love these. Bated Breath was my first one. It is a plum (more warm than cool, medium toned, not too pink or purple toned, but that deep reddened brown plum feel). It looks like a deeper, work friendly MLBB on me. It reminds me of MAC So Select, but the plum tones make it a bit more warm/ reddish toned on my NW20, deep winter, complexion (3n hair, brown/hazel eyes). So Select looks softer & more natural on me. It also reminds me of Lancome’s Exotic Orchid on me.
After using Bated Breath for a month or so, I had to get more of these. Bated Breath will be quite beautiful in the fall especially.
