I have been using this product regularly for over 13 years. What got me started was this party at my first workplace in Japan, where this office clerk`s mother, who was well into her 50`s, showed up to pick up her daughter and we were all blown away by how smooth and luminous her skin was. She said she has been consuming collagen powder (not sure if it was this brand) since her 20`s and that she doesn`t stay out in the sun. Now, these were regular, middle class Osaka folks, so I seriously doubt there was any cosmetic surgery or Botox involved. Now that I am in my early 40`s, my skin is plump and wrinkle-free, the only exception being the fine lines around my eyes, which I have had since my 20`s. Could I attribute to this collagen powder? Who knows. No one can say for sure. But what I have noticed is that when I travel to Europe for months at a time and either forget to pack this or run out halfway through my journey, my skin is noticeably less hydrated. I can barely notice the taste of this powder, and it is quite easy to add it to my morning smoothie, so I think I will continue to use this, as the price is pretty reasonable and this company has a good reputation in Japan.

This didn’t work for me when I was in my 20s. Now that I’m trying it again in my 40s, I like to think that it works, although the effect isn’t dramatic.
I’ve since tried this for 3 months. Here are the pros and cons based on my experience.
What’s Great?
1. A long-established brand with 100 years of history
2. Drink is easy to prepare
3. Refreshing and water-like consistency
4. Showed improvements to nails, skin firmness and radiance
5. Cheaper than many of its competitors
6. Environmentally-friendly packaging
What’s Bad?
1. Mild Fishy Taste (can be completely masked when mixed with citrusy beverage)
2. Subtle improvements
3. Knee still hurts when jogging
4. Not convenient to travel with

I have no idea where I first heard about this. I started using it at the end of this June, doubting it would work on the new not so pleasing changes taking place on my 2 year post menopausal face- but I figured I would try it for 3 months and see if there were changes in tiny crows feet, upper lip lines, etc. and I would give it bonus points for helping arthritic aches in my joints.
I put a scoop into my strong morning coffee while I get ready for work. I don’t notice the taste at all because the coffee is strong, it is very early around 5am, and I’m just focused on getting out the door looking presentable.
I used it for 2 of my planned 3 months, but wasn’t sure if I noticed any changes. Miscalculated the timing of my next order (from Japan) and went without the product for a month while it shipped via slow boat from Asia.
Ah….now I see that it DOES work! At about 3 weeks without the product, I can tell that it had apparently filled out my fine lines. I had to pay extra and get an emergency shipment sent to me!
I would recommend getting the product in a can with scoop for your first purchase, then get then less expensive refills afterward and just refill the can and scoop. Refills can be bought for around $25, while the can is around $33. I will ordering in multiples from now on and accounting for the shipment from Asia (for better pricing, it is certainly available also to ship from within the US).

Tried this years ago… I don’t remember how I felt. That most probably means I didn’t feel much with it. Also, in powder form, it was hard to consume. So I will give this a miss and get one of those bottled one from DHC, Kinohimitsu etc…

With all of the positive reviews of this product, I was expecting to at least see some noticeable difference in my skin. So far, 20 days in, I really don’t notice any difference at all. I’ve tried two different kinds of DHC collagen, both with much less than 5000mg per day, and noticed a difference within a week with those.
Also, the powder drink mix will make just about everything taste disgusting. I’ve tried mixing it with about 12oz of apple juice, orange juice, grape juice, chocolate milk, as well as Ensure. Only the latter tasted relatively normal. The only thing I like about this product is the cute can packaging with a scoop included.
I’ll update this review if I see a change in the next 8 days, but right now it’s not worth the money and effort at all.

I’ve seen some questions on the board about this product, so I decided to write a review, as I’m consuming it regularely.
So, this is a powder, which was made from fish collagen peptides and contains about 27 kcal per spoon (which is included if you buy a can). It’s recommended to drink this before going to bed. When you turn 20, your body produces less and less collagen as the time goes by and thats one of the main reasons you get wrinkles and atonic skin, so this should help your body keeping its high level of collagen, as one spoon contains 5000 mg of protein. I usually drink this with a bit juice or lactose-free milk before going to bed and I’ve been drinking this for about 3 months now. After the first week I started to see the first improvements. When I woke up, I noted, that my, usually very very VERY oily, skin felt less oily and had more like a healthy glow instead and there were no new pimples poping up. Also, my skin seemed to look brighter. So I contunued to drink this and I still am and my skin feels much softer now and looks very healthy and is firm and I’m not only talking about the face, but also about my entire skin. Today, a customer asked me if I’m the new trainee here (keep in mind that trainees start here at the age of 16/17) and my younger sisters friend started to flirt with me a coulpe of weeks ago because he thought I was in his age (16), so I guess it works pretty well…. maybe even to well for my taste 😀 But as long as I have beautifull skin, I won’t complain 😀
I paid 32 $ per can which lasts me the whole month and I don’t think it’s expensive, if you consider that you’re paying like 1 $ per day for having healthy skin. In my opinion prevention is always cheaper and better that to fix the consequences afterwards. So I highly recommend this to anyone, who wants to improve his skin quality, no matter if you have dry, normal, combination or acne-prone skin, this stuff works people!
