At 64, lipsticks and I are rarely friends. However, I look like a corpse without it.
Hello, MAC Powder KISS!
This is a great formula for mature lips. It doesn’t migrate into the fine lines, the color is vibrant and it feels great on.
Most mattes make mature lips look caked. Not so here.
I do need to reapply every few hours to keep the color consistent but otherwise it’s a winner for me.

To me the colour looks almost exactly like Bourjois’ Frambourjoise on in colour n finish (esp when the Bourjois has had time to settle ) and ‘soft but matte’ claim. However the Bourjois is better. It looks better and wears better (ie not patchy and so on) . The pink has a less ‘irritated lips’ look somehow. This looks a bit (a lot actually) like a chesp lipstick in my opinion. I think it resembles WnW Wine Room in effect which is ok fr the WnW price range but not MAC. I own it since it came out but rarely use it except blotted and always end up putting on something else within the hour.

For the record, I hate wearing matte lipsticks, because the formulas usually dry out my lips. I was intrigued by a MAC ad for Powder Kiss lipstick (which featured a lovely girl using it as a blush and lipstick) and had to try it. It is described by MAC as a lipstick that gives a matte finish with the feel of a balm.
I’ve only worn this a few times, but it does seem worthy of the hype. It does feel like a balm and the color is a nice matte pink (I’m wearing A Little Tamed). It feels great on, unlike any other matte I’ve tried.
Because it does feel so nice, the lasting power isn’t great. It did last through drinking a glass of water, but sticks around for about 2 hours on me. That’s not unusual, though–lipsticks that last longer on me tend to dry out my lips. I’ll gladly accept the burden of reapplying if it means that my lips won’t end up dry and flaky.
A few others have commented on the scent being somewhat “rubbery,” and I agree. It’s definitely not the MAC vanilla scent that I’m used to. I don’t notice any taste, however, and the scent isn’t strong enough to irritate me.
So far so good. I wouldn’t say that this is necessarily HG material or the best balm ever, but it does give me a matte look and I don’t hate it. 🙂 I might even check out other colors, although most of them seemed to be quite warm.
