I want to start by saying that I only line my upper waterline with this pencil and I really like it. It does smudge a little and I have to sharpen it before every other use but I like that it’s blackest black and the minor smudging I can live with (but I took away one lippie).

Perversion is supposedly the blackest-black eyeliner from Urban Decay. It is more opaque than their black satin Zero, and it is matte in finish which adds to the appearance of opacity. I would not say that this eyeliner is worth $20+ given that it requires frequent sharpening to use (meaning you cannot possibly use all the product) and given that it smudges. I did not find this product to perform great in my waterline.
There are better products out there for the price, especially if you are okay with smudging.

Got this in their 2018 holiday bundle. I was really excited to see if the big brand name eyeliner would be able to hold up against my oily lids – but nope it smudged.

I got this from an ipsy bag. It is my absolute favorite Eyeliner. It costs about $21 dollars at sephora ( ) which is really expensive for an eyeliner, but i think it is worth it. It lasts for hours and doesn’t run or smudge. The little sample size that i got has even lasted me months and it was only a 4th of the real size. The only thing i didnt like about it is the fact that it is a pencil that you have to sharpen. That isnt that big of a deal, but i prefer a retractable eyeliner. It just depends on your preference.

Bc im a tightliner,i realized iv not really reviewed alotta eyeliners until tonight soo…Perversion first of all is literally the darkest most pigmented black iv found on the market..it is beautiful! UD knew exactly what they were doing with this formula as it is incredibly smooth while applying, and although you have to sharpen for those who dread actually having to do so,lol,it’s really worth it…Iv found that taking a piece of tissue lightly around the tip not only helps sharpen but also kills any germs from your last use! Iv nothing negative to say ab UD perversion liner as im highly picky with my eyeliners(only using MJs Highliner mostly) so that speaks for itself..even being a tightliner this saves me alotta time as i ever so gently lift my lid and take this pencil upright, and dot in between my lashes and VOILA! Look like a million bucks(ok so not a million but..i FEEL like it ????)

I love love love this eyeliner from urban decay. It’s the darkest black you can get from their range.
Such a buttery texture and glides on smoothly on the eyes. Once it’s on it sets and doesn’t budge and last all day long for me.
The only downside is I constantly have to sharpen the pencil due to it being so soft and product goes down quicker than my MAC feline pencil.

I like that this glides on easily and gives a good pigmented line but this same factor is probably what makes this liner smear and smudge like crazy. After just an hour it smudges. Definitely a deal breaker and wouldn’t recommend, better eyeliners at the drugstore.

Hate this one. I had high hopes for it as a tightliner because it is a very lovely dark DARK black but it smudges like crazy and makes my contacts blurry! Overall, the formula is too soft and it’s hard to get a precise line. Also lasting power is not so great. Love most UD 24/7 liners but this one is a big thumbs down.

This eye liner started out badly because the black “lead” liner part was retracted into the stem of the pencil. Not wanting to bother returning it, I sharpened the pencil and watched a good amount go into the trash. Now the lead part kind of wobbles in the pencil, but it is usable if worked with very carefully. I worry about scratching my eye with the “wood” part, so I pick up the product with a slant tip brush and use the brush to apply liner to my upper eyelids. The pencil tip softens quite a lot with each use and quickly turns into a stub rather than a point, which also necessitates using a brush. Overall, this is a very finicky product and mine required some work-arounds to make it wearable. Once I apply it in the manner described, I end up with a long wearing black eyeliner that is difficult to remove. I don’t waterline and other reviews seem to advise against using this product for that purpose, especially for sensitive eyes. I likely will not repurchase because there are many other less expensive pencil liners that don’t require a brush for application.

Never had to purchase this liner as I have received as GWP or deluxe sample sizes. The pigment on this pencil is amazing. Very black. Very smooth application. However it does smudge/smear. Not the best for tightlining, due to smear factor. Work well just a pencil liner to smudge out for a smokey look.
