My hair loves this stuff! I use it once weekly after shampoo and conditioner when I wring out any excess water and apply this for about 15 minutes before rinsing out with warm/tepid water. Immediately improves the condition of my thick, wavy hair and leaves it much more manageable, softer and tangle-free. Smells delicious too, although the scent doesn’t stick around for long unfortunately. In short: it works, and with some solid nourishing ingredients in here (Banana puree is way up 2nd on the list!) and absolutely no silicones whatsoever, it’s not surprising. After a number of TBS disasters as of late, I’m glad to have discovered this gem.

(As I’ve sampled 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective. I love constantly trying out new stuff – usually sample sizes via e-bay, also plenty courtesy of a friend who works at Sephora)

This is my go to cheap-ish deep treatment. The price point is probably more middle range, but compared to other silicone free + cruelty free treatments it’s on the cheaper side. I make sure to always have a tub of this at home to use in between using my HG, more expensive treatment (pureology’s strength cure superfood treatment)
I have curly, medium course and very dry hair, and this feels nourishing. I also use the banana conditioner from the body shop and they make my hair feel healthy and helps keep my curls free of frizz. The scent of the banana line is sweet and more candy-like than fruity. It’s a pretty fun, youthful scent, but it can get a little much. It does linger to some extent, but it mellows out.
+ Cruelty free
+ Vegan
+ Silicone free
+ Relatively affordable as far as silicone free hair masks go
+ Nourishing, as promised
– I could do with a more discreet and grownup scent

This is a great, non-silicone, moisturizing (non-protein), deep conditioner for my type 4b/c natural hair. Not cheap but products that do a comparable job are 2-3 times the price. Just what I was looking for after a microdisaster with fresh bananas!

This mascara works perfectly fine on my dry hair, it really nourrishes it and makes it feel softer. + It’s 100% vegan and silicone free. After three months using it once a week I still have more than half the product left.
I think it’s a little bit expensive but it’s worth it.
I wouldn’t buy it again because of the smell: first I loved the banana smell of this range but then I got sick of it. But if you don’t have a problem with the smell of this product, I would totally recommend it.
