It is efficient, quickly absorbed. There is no smell (it does not cause allergies – as I was informed). It is perfect for make-up. No cream removes wrinkles like botox 🙂 but this one at least prevents the appearance of new ones 🙂

I received a sample of this from Bloomingdales, NYC and have re-ordered. I’m honestly surprised at how great this is because I don’t usually buy Clinique skin care. This exceeded my expectations. I like it better than many other similar more expensive products that I have tried because it is very moisturizing but not greasy. I like that it is a multi-tasking product: moisturizer, sunscreen and anti-ager in one. I find the texture luxurious and smooth and it absorbs without greasiness. I use it every morning under makeup. Home-run Clinique!

I dont need a moisturizer like this because it is so heavy , cream textured moisturizer and I am 17 I prefer gel moisturizers. This cream moisturizes my skin really good I have the mini size but it goes really long time and I dont recommend this to young women because as I say I think teenagers should use lighweight gel formulas this one would be better for older skins. It is giving me plumped effect just like the smart serum but I dont think that its worth the money

I really wanted to like this, but after two days of use I developed red, burning itchy skin all over my face. I will be returning the unused portion.

I got a travel size of this for Dry Combination skin. Its texture is very much like Clinique’s Superdefense moisturizer, ingredients are quite similar, so is the result I see on my face.

Ingredients of Superdefense SPF 20: Avobenzone 3.0%, Octisolate 5.0% Inactive: Water/Aqua/Eau, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Butylooctyl Salicylate, Dimethicone, Petrolatum, Polyester-8, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Trehalose, Sigesbekia Orientalis (St. Paul’s Wort) Extract, Hordeum Vulgare (Barley) Extract/Extrait D’Orge, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Extract, Arabodopsis Thaliana Extract, Plankton Extract, Algae Extract, Sea Whip Extract, Lactobacillus Ferment, Micrococcus Lysate, Ergothionene, Caffeine, Lecithin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Isohexadecane, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Squalene, Caprylyl Glycol, Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Polyehtylene, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascrobate, Dimethiconol, Polysorbate 80, Zeolite, Xanthan Gum, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Tromethamine, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyehtanol
Basically this Smart one has a couple additional ingredients and some things are listed higher on the ingredients list so in larger amounts than Superdefense. The price of this moisturizer is $54, Superdefense is $47,50. I’m a bit confused though the sun protection ingredients are exactly the same percentage yet Superdefense is said to be SPF20 but this one is said to be SPF15. Maybe an additional ingredient of Smart makes SPF’s effectiveness decrease a bit? I don’t know. I would personally prefer SPF15 as chemical sunscreen ingredients break me out and I already put on sunscreen on top of moisturizer anyway, but I’m not sure if this is actually SPF15 or Superdefense was actually SPF20.
In the end if you liked Superdefense you will like this. I personally like both of their texture and they make my skin get softer. However Clinique insists on keeping its creams in jars, which decreases the effectiveness of the ingredients with air and light exposure. I personally ONLY purchase travel size of creams in jars to be on the safe side, I feel like if I get their bigger sizes I might be spending money on something that might not work at its full effect more than 1-2 weeks after opening it.
