I’ve had large, dark scars on my face from acne for years. I’ve used products upwards of $60, and this is the only lyrics thing that has helped. I cannot praise it enough. Only complaint is could possibly have is that once it dries it gets kinda peely and looks like dried skin. But it has made my skin so much more clear with just one tube.

I have huge severe scars. Not lined scars but round pitted one’s. So this product didn’t do much. However, it took out tons of red from one of my biggest scars and actually did make it look better. I’m happy with it because I’ll take any improvment that I can get. It didn’t do much for my brown colored scars, it just seems to take the red out only. So not sure if there’s skin lightener in it. Also makes skin peel, so I’m not sure if there tact is just to exfoilate it alot, and peel off the bad layers of skin. I can see this working well for mild & maybe even moderate scars. I’ll update if anything changes. I gave two stars because the price is ridiculous for what little product you get and I’m having trouble affording more tubes with all the scars I have to use it on.

This product is plain amazing! However, you do need to be consistent and patient while using it. If you’re looking for a product that miraculously turns your face flawless from acne scarring overnight, then this product is not for you.
I had really bad acne condition in my teenage years, thus my face is left with terrible acne scarring. I’ve tried using Mederma before, but I just didn’t see any result, so I stopped using it for a bit. However, I couldn’t find any good substitute for it, so I thought of giving this product another try. I did not have any expectation for this product at all but over time, I noticed that not only some of my scarring marks have disappeared but my skin condition improved as well!
I’ve also applied Mederma on these tiny spots that I got on my wrist, as a result from oil popping while I was cooking, and Mederma completely lighten the marks.
This product is a gem and I would definitely keep using it until all my acne marks disappear!

I have the Maderma advanced scar gel. I have scaring on my face from acne, so I decided to try it. The first time I used it, I washed my face with a general cleanser and rubbed it into my scars. That night while trying to fall asleep, it started itching like crazy, so I washed it off. The next time I tried it, I washed my face, and then moisturized my face and let that sit for 15 minutes then I put the gel on. It makes all the difference. Now I’ve been using it every night and even after only three or so weeks I’m seeing an improvement in the coloring and texture of my scars, it’s so wonderful. I’m sure after the instructed three months I will be greatly satisfied with the result. MAKE SURE TO MOISTURIZE BEFORE USING and then it should would amazingly. You can also find coupons for this at their website which helps with the price. It’s not cheap, but not overly expensive either. It’s worth it. Love this product.

I got the once daily Mederma to use on a small red scar from an old cystic zit. It is right on my cheek near the nasolabial fold and drives me crazy. It just won’t stay covered. Not the biggest cosmetic problem but just bothers me. I shouldn’t have picked! I was considering laser treatment but instead tried this even though it is a very old scar. I have been applying nightly after moisturizer for a few weeks. You need a very tiny amount so though the tube costs $22 before coupon it should last a long time. The redness did seem to fade after a while but I was noticing some product still clung to my skin after washing in the morning. I thought it was just hard to remove but then realized it was actually a fine layer of skin peeling off. Hmmm. I actually like this as I feel it refines the scar. Got to thinking about age spots. Hey why not- I started applying nightly to a spot on my forehead and sure enough after a few days it lightly peeled. I think this will work to reduce this type of spot. I am giving this product a whole new purpose as anti aging. Can’t wait to see the long term outcome.

Hello everyone this is my first review on MUA. I met with a road accident recently and scrapped my chin and abdomen. The injuries were superficial nothing major but I tend to scar even if I get a small scratch. So I was really scared about them scarring too. The wound on my chin healed completely in about 2 weeks and I started using a silicone gel on it which my dermat had prescribed. I couldn’t see any difference in redness and swelling whatsoever. I didn’t use it on my abdomen wound though since it hadn’t healed and was deeper. The healed skin on my chin was completely flat but discoloured. So I started using Mederma on it and the results were remarkable! The redness and swelling subsided in just 2 weeks! With consistent use it started showing affect on discoloration too. I’m using it since 6 weeks now and it has faded alot and I’m positive it’ll fade completely by the 8th week. Fingers crossed. As for the scar on my abdomen it was a bit raised after healing. And it has become almost flat after using Mederma on it for 6 weeks! It has become less discolored too. I’ve used bio oil too on new scars before and it didn’t do anything so I know what Mederma has done because the results are pretty obvious. Mederma surely works if used consistently even though it is a bit pricey. I’ll post my results after I finish using it for 8 weeks. I’m sorry my review is so long but I just wanted to be descriptive for those who’re interested in using it! Please give it a shot you won’t be disappointed for sure.

Purchased Mederma after surgery on my wrist. I have used once a day for the past 3 months and I am very pleased. The scar is not even noticeable unless I point it out to people, which I have been doing frequently just to show how well the mederma has worked for me. I am very pleased with product and highly recommend it.
