   Obsessed. I recommend this product to everyone. Subtle yet noticeable, it highlights and luminizes without making your face look like a disco ball. The creamy texture gives your skin a healthy, natural, lit-from-within glow. It’s 100% safe and natural, and does not clog pores. I even love the packaging. Worth the price regardless, but a little bit does go a long way, so it will last you forever. It’s a must have for me.

   I didn’t even realize I had a sample of this until last week, when I dug it out of the bag where I keep samples and other random “stuff” (whilst looking for something else). Well, it was serendipitous because I’ve been using this since then and am absolutely in love with the look this leaves on my cheekbones – the most glowy, almost wet (as in dewy rather than sweaty or drenched from a rain-storm) sheen that is so pretty when the light catches it. There is no glitter, just a lovely and luminous sheen (I saw Renee Zellweger a few weeks ago being interviewed and she had this same sort of sheen). I generally find cream highlighting products tricky to use as they can lift my foundation during application or just look sort of “curdled” looking but not this stuff. I just tap it in and it looks great. I went to get a jar of it today to take advantage of the VIB sale only to learn that the Sephora stores in this area no longer carry rms in-store. I loathe ordering on-line but did so in order to get the full size of this insta-pretty luminizer and can’t wait til it arrives. I’m glad my sample will last until then.

   I like this highlighter better than the original because I feel that it is dewier and doesn’t leave a white cast. It’s sheer but definitely noticeable and makes your cheeks or wherever you dabbed this on truly look wet. It does have a pink tint, but it can suit everyone because of its sheerness. The only con is the formula; I don’t think it’s very stable because you are rubbing your fingers in it. After a few weeks of use, it gets this oily layer on top and starts to look a bit rancid and I wash my hands before doing my makeup. It’s too expensive of a product to go bad halfway through, so I would caution before purchasing. Glossier’s quartz has a very similar if not identical appearance, but is less oily. Glossier’s highlighters have a similar problem with rms’s in that I feel that both will go bad if unused for more than a few days. I had to throw away 1/3 of my haloscope because it started to smell like crayons after I didn’t use it for a few weeks

   My favorite highlighter, by a landslide, has been the Living Luminizer since I bought a pot two years ago (yes, it’s really lasted me that long, applied 5 days a week). Until I tried Rosé. The slight pink sheen just really does it for me. Without access to actual samples, I tried to do some research on this shade and found very little resources compared to the others in the line. I was mainly concerned about the texture differing from the original, but I’m happy to say that it’s retained the same intense, high-gloss sheen and fairly low viscosity. For comparison, the texture of the Magic Luminzer is drier and has more grip than the original, while the Rosé is at least equal to, if not slightly oilier than, the original.

   While it appears nude-toned in the pan with a pink highlight that is neither cool nor warm, it appears completely sheer on my skin with a tiny bit of pink where the light hits. Some people may be disappointed that there isn’t greater color payoff with the pink pigment, but for me, this strikes just the right balance where it’s visible but not in danger of clashing with the rest of my makeup. I’m very pale though, so it could read differently.

   There is no smell and, like I mentioned, it is extremely high-gloss due to the coconut and castor oils– it looks quite wet on the skin and does not dry down, though it feels weightless. It applies well over my cream blush (I use my fingers to tap it on) and doesn’t appear to migrate. I don’t recommend using it on places like the bridge of your nose or on the inner corners of your eyes if you wear foundation, though, because the high oil content tends to break it down… at least in a much more visible way. Lasted well through an 8-hour day. No complaints about the packaging: the frosted glass feels good and solid and the cap stays put. Going off of the Living Luminizer lasting me almost two whole years with daily use, I expect this to be pretty much the same.

   This is definitely my new favorite and I highly recommend giving this a try if you love any of the other RMS highlighters or generally enjoy glossy shine over shimmer or glitter.
