This is a great must have if you have sensitive skin and looking for hydrating properties in your skincare routine!
As most reviewers have suggested – consistency is like water and looks just like water. At first glance you might be skeptical, but adding this to my basic skincare routine has been a game changer. Whatever ingredients this has inside, it is enough to calm my skin and reduce the redness especially around my cheek area within a week.
This doesn’t irritate my skin, neither does it break me out.
Definitely absorbs into my skin fast enough to apply a light moisturizer & ready to go if you’re not that committed into spending too much time into skincare.
Compared to brands that you find in Sephora, the price for this product is affordable, and definitely effective.
I find that if you’re on a budget & looking for something that really works for your skin, this is the one to go.
I’d also recommend to pair with their Soon Jung 2x intensive cream moisturizer if you have normal-combo skin types. The moisturizer applies like a gel, but a light layer is enough to see the hydration and change in your face. I’m really amazed by how a basic 3 product routine could transform my skin in just a matter of months.
Would totally repurchase. Hopefully this comes in a spray version soon (which is what I’d prefer).
Hope this helps!

ive used about halfway through my first bottle and bought a second one.
its a very soothing and moisturizing toner.
its a step to use before essences and serums
i like that its a calming product.
on occasion i will do the 7skin toner on days when my skin has been through the wringer. i.e. out in the sun all day
very watery texture with absolutely no stickiness
and absorbs instantly..

Absolutely one of the best skin care products I’ve tried for my skin. I’m so glad I took a chance on this. My skin is very sensitive and reactive to skin products that it wasn’t until this year that I’ve been courageous enough to try Korean skincare. I noticed from the first night how calm my skin became and redness gone. It does a great job at hydrating and softening my skin. This toner paired with Soon Jung cicia balm are a dream. I wish I came across this line years ago. I decanted this toner into a spray bottle for easy application. It’s very watery and scentless. LOVE IT AND CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT IT! One of the best way to try this Soon Jung line is by purchasing a trial set for about $3 from ebay. It ships directly from S. Korea and you get about 5 ml of products to try. I hope Etude House never discontinues this line. I have a backup bottle of toner in my closet. I never want to run out of this!

Love this toner. It was suggested to me by a beauty consultant in an Asian beauty store. I have already repurchased!

I just purchased my third bottle because my skin loves this stuff. My face feels way more moisturized than with moisturizer alone, and it’s been much clearer, probably because it’s no longer so dehydrated.

I purchased the “easy size” of this and have been using it for about 6 weeks. I apply twice a day and I’d estimate I still have about 2 weeks’ worth left in the bottle, so a little goes a long way.
It comes out like water, so at first I wasn’t sure it was doing anything, but as winter set in and my skin didn’t get dehydrated like it usually does (the house got down to around 16% humidity at one point) I’m thinking this is really working. I only apply one layer (about a quarter sized puddle in my palm) twice a day, and it leaves a natural, very slightly dewy finish.
I started using this while undergoing some acne treatments, and I believe it’s helping to face my post-inflammatory erythema (red marks) faster. I’d been making my own hyaluronic acid serum for years, but I’ve gotten a little tired of DIY skin care, and this is so inexpensive and works slightly better than my DIY concoction, so it’s worth it, in my opinion.
It doesn’t irritate my skin (even around my eyes), and I like that the ingredients are all rated low toxicity. The “soy sauce” dispenser works quite well, and though I’d almost prefer a spray, I feel like the current packaging is less wasteful (both of product and plastic).
I’m very happy with this and intend to repurchase.
Update: I’ve repurchased this several times and have found a wonderful use for it, besides using as a toner: I’ve been using this as a DIY paper mask (applied on thin facial pads and left on for about an hour) and it seems to make a big difference in PIE, more so than just applying a layer without the mask.

I ran out of Laneige skin refiner moisture and I want to try a different toner/essence so I got this as a toner to be used before actives to increase absorption. I am drawn to its simple but effective list of ingredients.
From various sources, ingredients that stand out to me:
-betaine: humectant that helps cells retain water even in a dry environment. solvent for certain substances. less irritating than water. in vitro studies show anti aging effects. manufacturer claims it has whitening effects. The main ingredient in Shiseido’s eudermine essence, which is much more expensive.
-madecassoside: centella. wound healing and collagen stimulating, anti-inflammatory, might be anti-glycation, stimulate growth of HA
-green tea extract: anti oxidant, photoprotective thus preventing skin degradation, anti-inflammatory, sebum control, anti microbial, anti carcinogenic, might be anti-glycation
-skullcap extract: anti oxidant, skin brightening, anti inflammatory, sebum control, allegedly anti microbial and anti fungal
Application
-Water-like liquid
-On dehydrated skin, I can feel it seeping into my skin. When my skin is not dehydrated, I don’t feel it.
-I usually apply around 7 drops to my face right after cleansing.
-Chok chok test: When I apply a great amount to my cheek, I don’t get chok chok feeling that the Laneige skin refiner moisture provides.
-No irritation so far.
Results
-This toner helps my moisturizer absorb better. When my skin was dehydrated, applying Cerave PM directly onto my face felt like applying grease. But when I put this toner first, the Cerave applies better. Update (2019/1/12): However, my Pyunkang Yul essence toner works better in absorbing my Laneige skin refiner moisture and Inkey List’s HA serum.
-Since I’m already using Vitamin C and peptides and have seen my pigmentation lighten, I can’t testify to the skin brightening effect of its ingredients. I doubt this toner has much of those plant ingredients.
The ingredient list and price point is similar to Klairs toner, which I haven’t tried. From a few blog reviews, it looks like Klairs toner is more viscous and hydrating but I’m already using another product (Laneige refiner) as a hydrating essence and Laneige is very thick, so I’m looking for a water-like toner to be used right after cleansing.
Tl;dr:
I would repurchase this as this is well formulated even for sensitive skin, since the collective benefits of the ingredients in this toner cover most skin issues (except for exfoliation) and the toner has a pH of 5.5 which is the pH of skin.
Update (2019/1/12): I wouldn’t repurchase this as I found something better, Pyunkang Yul essence toner which is more absorbent, more layer-able, contains a greater % of plant extract and more calming to my skin. Although the ingredients in SoonJung look good in theory, the toner doesn’t do much for my skin besides adding some hydration. Will use the rest of it as a mask.

Sadly this toner made me breakout after one week of use. More on my chin with inflamed whiteheads. It was the only product I added to my routine as a new change (Had a stable routine for a few months already with no problem). The first thing I noticed when I first applied this product was this slight tingling/burning sensation. I didn’t think it was that bad so I continued and that sensation didn’t return and it was good. I didn’t notice any visible improvements to my skin, maybe less redness… I just wanted to add a toner with nice ingredients for my skin. However seems like after a week of twice a day use of this toner causes my skin to breakout. Since stopping my breakouts have been decreasing and going away. I’m disappointed that I can’t use this product, seems like there’s an ingredient in it that my skin doesn’t tolerate well.

I have dry eczema prone skin and just I love this toner. I am on my second bottle. I got the extra large size as really like layer it and mist it. It feels and looks just like water. I was thought at first that it’s not very hydrating and what is the point and then I realized how soothing it was. It has madecassoside and is great for redness, irritation and itchy skin. . It’s so easy to layer up. You could the 3-7 layer method with it. It’s perfect for that. I use 2 layers on my face to calm my skin and then use other hydrators . I also splash it on areas of my body where I get itchy after I shower. You can mist it, use it on a cotton. You can make lotions masks with it or soak those DIY sheet masks with it.
Most madecassoside containing products have essentials oils or other irritants. This is no fragrance, no essential oils, no alcohol, no fragrance, mineral oil or any irritant. It is perfect for sensitive skin, which I have. Oily people can use it and dry people like me can use it.
I was using cica balm in the same line and still do on body eczema too and itching as well as my face. . My husband has used it on rashes and stopped scratching. I was going through too much balm and started using the toner to splash on areas I get itchy after the shower. I scratched one night and got welts and put this on and took it right down.
This whole line is life saving. I also like the barrier cream and the sleeping pack and the cica balm.

I used this for a few months and have finally finished a bottle. This is also the toner I would take with me if I have to go on any work trips. Your skin is at a pH of about 5.5, so this toner will match the natural pH of your skin, which results in less pimples and healthier looking skin for me. This retails for $15.60 on SokoGlam and comes with 6.08 fl. oz. of product or 180 ml. The bottle is tall, plastic, and narrow.
I already find the price to be very good, and the product itself is very gentle.
The ingredients are as listed:
Water, Propanediol, Glycerin, Betaine, Panthenol, Madecassoside, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, 1,2-hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Carbomer, Polyglycerin-3, Disodium Edta
This is a rather short ingredient list, which is what I really like about it. My skin reacts so well, but this is the toner I use in the mornings after I use a low pH cleanser. It keeps my skin plump and prepped for makeup or other skincare products that go on top. Sometimes, it feels like you’re applying just water to your face, but I can tell that it has improved balance of moisture in my skin during those mornings I am getting ready for work. My face is not too oily or dry after using this. Overall, if you are looking for a gentle toner, look no further. I have recently switched to a more expensive low pH toner, but already I can tell that I prefer this Etude House one way more.
