Hands down the best primer I have ever used. It feels and performs like a high end product. Anymore, I am replacing much of my makeup with drug store options. I find that a lot of drug store products out perform many high end brands. This primer works amazing for both my dry areas and oily tzone. It leaves my skin hydrated and protected. My foundation lasts longer and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. True favorite of mine.

Not a good product at all for me. It never really set/dried down (maybe because of humidity here?) causing powder foundation to grab on in patches and look horrible. I tried a couple of times, using various amounts adn waiting longer before foundation but still the same result. Maybe it just can’t be worn over sunscreen? I would never use enough of this to count as sunscreen. Also, irritated my skin – not horribly, but with red spots that went away after washing off and a day or so rest.

There is something I LOVE about this primer and it’s not the primer itself (which isn’t bad) – I think the packaging is FABULOUS. It’s the closest I’ve found to Chanel’s foundation – the vitalumiere (and in fact I rarely buy Revlon products but looking at some of the packaging the other day their packaging most closely mimics Chanel’s). Anyway..the primer comes in this rectangular 1 ounce container that is nice to hold in your hand, the top comes off with a quick twist, the product dispenses perfectly from the needle nose tip and it is the best thing ever to travel with. The size is equivalent to an AirPod case – no, I wouldn’t carry a primer in my pocket but I could and it doesn’t leak.
I would decant all my serums and lotions into these containers if I could.
The primer itself is decent but there are many more there are better. More of a Demi-Matte finish (your face won’t look scary flat like Tarte’s) which leaves a smoother canvas than without the primer (but Smashbox leaves a smoother canvas for foundation). However this primer has an SPF of 34 which is pretty good, is very thin so is easy to apply and a little seems to go a long way.
There is one downside though. It does leave a very noticeable white cast that is not easy to blend away. I am in the light to light medium range and I would think this would not work for those in the medium or darker color range so they must be using a physical sunscreen that doesn’t blend away as easily as many other companies.
However I was shopping at my local grocery store and they were having a 50% off sale off of most of their cosmetic products and I picked this up for $5 which is a stellar bargain.
So A+ for a great, very easy to apply sunscreen (for light/medium skin tones).
A+ for the clearance price
A++++ for the bottle
B to C for everything else

Most primers and foundations break me out: it’s more an allergic reaction to the silicone I’m guessing since it happens most times.
This hasn’t happened yet with this and it works well to smooth skin.

Thought this primer with SPF 34 would be a one step solution to makeup lasting in August heat. But this gave me ghost face and felt sticky on my skin. If you’re lighter than NC30 this may not look so white on you but it was a noticeable white cast on my skin. It also changed my foundation to lighter. I’m not sure if color drops would help make this useable on light-medium skin tones.

I have tried many primers and just wasn’t completely sold and usually stopped using. This is the best that I have tried so far! I have not been a big consumer of Revlon products, but I saw a good review of this on You Tube and decided to give this a try. I have noticed that when I put this on and give it a little time to set, my skin already looks better than it did with just moisturizer. It works great under the it Cosmetics CC+ which is my usual daily go to, but it also works well on others that I use. For reference, I have a normal to dry complexion.

Where has this product been hiding???? It is the best primer I have ever used! I purchased this In Chemist Warehouse for $25 Australian. The claims for this product are as follows:
“A longwear primer with a 3-in-1 solution that moisturizes, primes and protects. SPF 25 protects against harmful UV rays, without looking chalky or leaving an ashy cast. With a 24 hour wear, it delivers a smooth, mattified look all day.
Wear alone or as part of your makeup routine”

OK, now to the reality. This makes my makeup look so much better. I have good skin, but like any 53 year old woman, I need a little bit of help. I wear this under Tarte Cosmetics Powder foundation and it keeps it looking really fresh all day. I find it quite hydrating as well. It comes out of the tube a little bit runny and it has a slight pinkish tinge to it. It applies really easily and leaves no visible colour on your skin. It has an SPF of 25 which is an absolute must for me as our sun in Australia is brutal. I had no reaction to it. It actually feels really comfortable. The bottle is quite small, but a little goes a long way. An absolute HG product for me!
