I meant to buy brow whiz, but accidentally bought brow definer instead. It has more of a triangular shape similar to benefit goof proof brow pencil. I don’t mind it because the shape makes it easy to pencil in my arch and tail of eyebrows. I love the spoolie on the other end. I use soft brown (I have very dark eyebrows that are thick) and it’s the perfect shade to make them look natural. The formula is very hard, so I do have to apply a lot of pressure to get pigmentation. I will happily finish this, but will try brow whiz next.

I have switched between this and one other brow product consistently for the last 3 years. I use the shade Medium Brown which is a perfect, cool toned mid-brown and it suits me well as a blonde haired person (provided I am not too heavy handed.)
It is my daily go to due to it’s convenience. The angled shape of the pen allows me to easily fill the thicker parts of my brows, and then tipping it on its’ side to define the thinner (tail) part of my brow. Having the brush/comb on the opposite end just adds to the convenience when I need to neaten my brows before application and then to tone down any heavy spots after application.
If I want super clean, defined brows then I do not reach for this product. Instead I opt for an angled brush with a pomade type product.

This brow definer makes your eyebrows look nice. I am allergic and it makes me itchy. It’s so expensive that there are cheaper options. Overpriced.

This is a good brow pencil to use if you want to do a quick fill in. It does have a thinner side for hairlike strokes, but the formula is too soft and it smudges easily on me.

I tried this when it was on some sort of flash sale on Ulta. I like ABH’s Brow Wiz so I thought I’d give this a go. It’s similar to the Brow Wiz (I think the color selection is the same, so if you have a good color match with ABH products – as I do – you’ll enjoy that about this) but instead of being skinny it’s a wedge. I like the spoolie on ABH products and I like that the browns don’t pull too red. In theory this would take less effort than the Brow Wiz – just sort of swipe and go. It’s less precise, but if you don’t care about that (and on most days I don’t), it’s fine. The problem is that I found the product to be more prone to breaking, crumbling, or otherwise getting dinged or damaged, so the pencil part was rarely properly shaped. I guess something as soft as this doesn’t do well as a solid, beefier shape and is better suited to the slim form of the Brow Wiz. Because I was constantly nicking it, it didn’t last me as long as a Brow Wiz, either. I’m glad I tried it but I won’t repurchase.

The hype around ABH brow products is huge, so when it finally hit the stores in my country I rushed and bought the pencil in two colours – medium brown and soft brown.
Medium brown is ans ashy brown – looks dark, but you can control the amount of product easily, thus it is hard to look overdone.
Soft brown – it is neutral, a shade darker than taupe, but to yellowish for my liking. However both colours are a good much for me (beige blond hair, blue eyes, light\medium complexion) – I used BB Natural Brown Shaper in Mahogany previously.
My general impression about this pencil is good – it is very pigmented, can be used to color brow hair and skin. It is not the perfect tool for doing sharp lines – it is the best for natural, blurred brow makeup. But the effect could less or more dramatic – depending on your mood and liking.
the effect stays on the whole day – that impressed me the most. The brows were in the same exact condition before the evening beauty routing as they were in the morning before leaving home.
I also like, that the brand does not test on animals, do not use any harsh ingredients in the pencil.
What I do not like is the container – looks a bit cheap 😉
I think this might be my HG brow product (I was planning to test the Hourglass dupe, but they are owned by Estee Lauder, which is still selling in China, thus animal testing is conducted).
I just cut one star of my rating – the pencils I’ve got are made in China. So – no – thank you.

I didn’t like this pencil in the beginning it applied fine but after a couple of uses I feel as if the product dried a bit. The shape is not the best for me I prefer something thinner to control how I shape my brows. This pencil was a big no for me

I use this product in the shade soft. It matches my natural hair completely. It is a wax/gel formula. When applied your face looks more structured. Great for filling in eyebrows. It holds the eyebrow hair in place and fills them Completely.
Do not be put of by the price, I know it is only small and it’s £17.50 but honestly a Little goes a long way.

I have the warm brow definer, which actually is quite a dark charcoal/brown shade. It makes my brows a bit darker than my blondish hair, but I like the shade. I was previously using a powder semi-permanent product in charcoal. This gives me a similar look, but is much easier to apply & less messy than the powder. And it lasts just as long as the semi-permanent makeup, ie all day as long as I don’t accidentally rub it off.
The product gives me defined brows which adds a bit of structure to my face. Definitely a vast improvement on what Mother Nature bestowed to me as eyebrows! I apply using a firm slanted brush which I had before, different make.
The pot is tiny, so handy for travel, and it seems to be lasting really well. I’ve been using daily for about 3 – 4 months, and probably only used about 20% so far.
I think if you take time to get the right shade this is a makeup gem.

I’ve been quite happy using my Maybelline Define A Brow Eyebrow Pencil for quite sometime. Look in my makeup bag and you will find 3 or 4 of them rolling around. But of course, I’m always curious about other products out there. I happen to like Laura Mercier’s line overall but rarely shop for it because it’s not in most of the department stores I frequent. I picked up her brow definer which comes in a small pot much like gel liner. The shade I chose was the lightest, “Fair.” My brows are a mousy shade of brown but I didn’t want to go too dark. Sadly, this shade is a bit too warm for my liking. Why do so many eyebrow products have that unnatural reddish tone??? Of course there should be an auburn shade for true red heads, but too many products that claim to be neutral or ashy read an unnatural shade of red. Better to skip brows altogether then to make them look bizarre. Because I just colored my hair red, I am able to pull this shade off so I won’t be returning it. Application is fairly easy with a decent brush. What can say. Sometimes more expensive doesn’t equal mo better.

I love this product! I use the warm shade and it is a TRUE brown, not red no blonde but a true brown for brunette. I tried Anastasia, benefits browzing and LA colors and none of them has the color match and stay power as this. I have been using mind for almost 3 yrs now with 2 days in a wk wearing makeup. This little jar last forever! Make my skinny eyebrow thick and full.

I used to use the Clinique brow shaper (pan version) and still do time to time. However it was annoying me in that every few months you need to scrape the surface ever so slightly as you get a hard almost crust on probably from the transference of oil from our face via the brush.
I also has benefit browzing but I could tell the powder would be too light for my dark brown almost black hair so i gave it away.
I was given this and it wasnt full in the first place but it lasts ages. I use a synthetic angle brush to define the arch and the tail. I then go over it with a spoolie and the use a MAC 263 brush with BB e/s in Flint which somehow softens it and sets it.
I will purchase again when I run out. I think it would be better in a pot that snaps shut rather than a screw lid but thats just me.

I generally like TBS makeup products and I purchased this when it was on sale for just a couple of dollars.
I bought this in Brunette hoping that it would have no red pigment in it (I find so many pencils for darker hair have too much red) but unfortunately it does have a slight red tone to it once applied. I need a cooler tone for my dark hair otherwise my brows look very fake.
This pencil is also very soft and did leave clumps of product in my eyebrows. I purchased the Taupe eyeliner from the Body Shop which is actually a better match for my brows and is much harder also, so I will probably not use this brow pencil again.

I cannot believe that I lived this long without buying one of these. This is a life changing product for me. I’ve always found brow pencils to be too dark or fake looking, but the angled pencil on this enables me to individually draw new lashes exactly where and when I need it. I have pretty thick brows with a few patchy areas around the beginning and end of my arch, this does an amazing job of just filling in the missing bits while looking amazingly natural. With this brow definer, I get amazingly well defined brows without any harsh lines. Love this!!

Needed a brow definer to cover some grey and give me some depth. This does when first applied but there is no staying power to it. Gone by lunch! Have tried several brands lately but none have been as good as the Borghese tinted wand color.

I was using the Laura Mercier brow powder duo in deep blonde for years and loved the product but I was only using the darker side of the duo and found myself wasting the other half (the lighter part) so I decided I would try the brow definer and I am absolutely in love with this product!! It looks like it’s a super small package but you don’t need a lot of the product. I use this product with the Sedona Lace Brow Spoolie Duo which has stiff textured bristles which works really well with this brow definer because it really keeps the color on the brush and allows for easy application. And the opposite end has the spoolie which helps to easily blend out the color. It is so easy to with this brow definer to get a even, great shape brow that will lasts all day long. I’m up about 6am everyday and it takes me literally 1 minute to get my brows done with the brow definer and my brows lasts all day long until I get home and when I’m ready to wash it off for bed.

I completely forgot to review this one- weird because I reach for this daily!! It is the perfect little pot of soft color that can be applied with an angled brow brush using little hairstrokes or more bold, whatever you like. It is so versatile and so amazing! My favorite SA at Neiman Marcus turned me on to this (and he works at GA)!! I have this in “soft”. It’s cool/neutral enough for someone as fair and blonde and cool as I am- ALTHOUGH I’ve been wanting to try this in the lighter shade. Love it! Will always have this in my stash 🙂 And I completely agree with what LUVrascal says below- it adheres and stays put really well, no smudgng, and it will probably only need to be re-purchased once it gets old and dry… UPDATE- I just got this in “Soft” which is much better suited to blonde hair/fair skin… it is soft and neutral, and sort of taupe. No red undertones whatsoever. Definitely NOT warm.
