I am a huge fan of Guerlain’s fragrances. They are well blended and classic. At least the older scents are (not a fan of the newer ones like L’Homme Ideal, Le Petite Robe Noire, etc). This is a very green vetiver. However, there is nothing “extreme” about this scent. It is lovely, but lasts about two hours on my skin. It is still a wonderful scent overall. I wish it was longer lasting, but I think it is still worth trying. I prefer the original Vetiver (even the one on the market today is nice).

This scent is not discontinued. You can buy it at a Guerlain boutique, though the bottle looks like the classic Habit Rouge bottle. All of the men’s Guerlain scents are in that bottle now. In the top notes the citrus harmony of bergamot and lemon is followed by tarragon and Licorice note. The hot spicy notes of the heart include pepper and nutmeg, what accentuates the extreme adventurous side of the fragrance. Frankincense adds dramatic smoky note to the heart. The base is more oriental and intensive then the classic version, and beside vetiver root it includes cedar wood and balsamic Tonka bean note. It is definitely a bit smokier and intense than the classic Guerlain Vetiver. I really enjoy this one.
