I use this about once a week. I have combination skin which I’ve always battled with. I find this is a gentle mask that makes my skin feel hydrated and soft. I always get compliments about my skin after I’ve used it. I’ll leave on before a shower or sleep with it on. I don’t see any major long term changes but my skin feels healthy. The Clarins SOS masks have been the BEST masks I have ever tried (very gentle and non-irritating to sensitive skin).

Clarins SOS Hydra mask works well for moderately dry/dehydrated skin, but not if you need more help.I bought this earlier in the year and have used it a few times – found it to be ok but didn’t make much difference to my skin’s hydration.
Last week my skin was feeling very tight and dehydrated because of hot weather, so I used this mask after an evening shower while my skin was still damp and left it on for 20 minutes (the instructions say leave on for 10). I then remembered I hadn’t exfoliated first, so I rinsed it off and started again. I massaged the residue in after about 20 minutes, and then sealed it in with Clarins Blue Orchid Facial Oil for dehydrated skin. This mask is not meant to be left on overnight but I’d read some reviews on other sites where users had done that and found it worked OK. That’ll do the trick, I thought. Not really…the next morning my skin didn’t feel any more hydrated, moisturised or comfortable than before. I have gone back to using La Roche Posay Nutritic Riche cream at night (I usually keep this for colder months) which made a difference after just one application.
I do love Clarins masks and treatments but perhaps I have picked the wrong one this time. They have another SOS mask in a yellow tube (Comfort Nourishing Balm) which can be left on overnight; I might try that next or go back to Origins Drink Up overnight mask which was wonderful. I hope the new formula of Drink Up works as well as the old!

This is a refreshing blue hydrating mask. This was moderately hydrating and did not dry me out after 30mins. This is good for normal skin types but not strong enough for those really needing water. I like the fact that you can leave it on for a while and it does not dry to a crust, but it will dry in an hour so I did not have any success leaving on overnight. Washes clean, overall this is a pleasant mask however in typical clarins fashion, the fragrance is way too strong and for this reason alone I won’t repurchase. I enjoyed finishing this but the price is too high for what it is, I would recommend buying with a code if you are really keen.
