I am comparing this sponge to the beauty blender. I was looking for an original beauty blender dupe and this one isn’t 100%, but for the cheap price, it works. You can use it wet or dry so I tried it wet just like a BB. It does grow in size, but I found it gets way too soft for blending products. It was difficult to stipple or pat this sponge on my face when it was wet because it would compress and bend too much. I much prefer to use this dry since that’s when it has comparable bounce and firmness to a wet BB.
Other notes: shorter dry time, same finish to makeup, soaks up the same amount of product, way easier to clean.
Overall, I am happy with this sponge and will continue to use it dry instead of wet.
