Although this was an effective lip scrub, there are a couple of things that prevented me from rating it higher. First off, despite the change in packaging (it used to come in a small, screw top plastic jar but now comes in a stubby, wind-up tube similar to a lip balm) it’s still really fiddly to use. It wound up just fine but after use, I just couldn’t get it to wind down again. As a result, I had to push it down with my finger which wasted product and the lid wasn’t a great fit either (the one I had kept popping off) meaning water got on it, causing it to disintegrate even more. Finally I found that the oil left behind after using this made me break out in tiny red spots along my upper lip line. I can only assume this was caused by one of the ingredients (the shea butter or olive oil possibly) but it definitely put me off wanting to use it. It certainly smells and tastes like lemon sherbet sweets but that’s not enough to entice me to repurchase it.

This smells absolutely gorgeous, like lemonade, but not too sweet. It tastes nice too. It is nice as a balm, and has a slight menthol feel.
