Too thick for me. It applied quite nicely but it quickly settled into the fine lines around my eyes that I definitely don’t want to draw attention to. I felt like the packaging had a cheap look and feel to it too. I expect more from Stila as a high-end brand – this looked more like something you’d get in a drugstore. I’ve used cheaper concealers that have done a better job than this one, hence the reason why I won’t be repurchasing.

I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it. I bought 2 different shades which I am now forcing myself to use because they are $33AUD each.
*Packaging*
Squeeze tube. I just felt for the price the packaging could do a lot of work. The most underwhelming Stila packing for me.
*Consistency*
Very thick! Creamy but heavy! This is one of those concealer that the more you blend, the tacky it gets. If your beauty blender is somewhat a little dry, this will keeps lifting while blending. It will get patchy so makes sure that your beauty blender is damp. I usually respray my blender with Fix plus before hand even if the rest of my beauty blender is damp. It feels oily but for some darn reason, this is so drying on my under eye. Not the best with concealer brush in my experience.
*Shade Range*
Plenty of shades to choose from. I bought 2 shades. 1 for spot concealing (E) and 1 for highlighting (C). I do regret buying two tubes now.
*Coverage*
Medium to full. It’s not the best to work with in terms of building it to full as mentioned earlier it goes patchy or it goes cakey. It is good coverage but man the way it blends needs so much fiddling to find what gets the best result.
*Finish*
It settles into my fine lines most of the time. It is drying. For something feels like it has oil and it is creamy, it is drying. It creases so quickly so make sure your setting powder is right next to you ready to set the undereye and smile lines.
*Price Point*
I’m sorry Stila, but this is expensive for what it is for me.
*Final Thoughts*
Disappointed. Was expecting my HG but all I got is a concealer that left me very underwhelmed. It can work I guess, but I don’t want to be doing so much effort for a pricey product. I just want it to do wonders. This unfortunate is my least favourite Stila product.

Love this concealer! It’s definitely the best concealer I’ve ever owned! It’s full coverage and blends very nicely. Stays on all day (although the tube is the perfect size to throw in your purse for minor touch ups later in the day/night) and doesn’t get dry or crusty over blemishes.

Let me start be saying I have fair skin with lots of redness. I typically use foundation to cover my redness and only use concealer under my eyes. I tried this under my eyes and it was too thick and settled in all my little lines. I also tried this around my nose and lips where I have redness and I wasn’t crazy about that either 🙁 It never really stuck to my skin. After I applied it I could easily wipe it right off….will not repurchase

I didnt love this product, i thought it was quite oily! i always have to apply compact powder on it so soak the oil. Im waiting for mine to finish so I can shift to MAC loungewear which I made a silly mistake of not trying while I was purchasing concealers.

Its okaayyy….
I’ve used it up, and repurchased because I got it on sale and because the color is fantastic. I’ve always liked stila because they have nice colors for darker skin tones. Actually stila foundation was one of the first foundations I ever used consistently. But I digress, back to the concealer.
It has a thick stickyish consistency. A bit odd to work with at first but you’ll get used to it. The problem with this concealer is that it doesn’t set and it creases instantly, like no tomorrow. I never wear this alone. I only use this under my eyes. I always combine it with other concealers and then set it.
As previously mentioned, the real saving grace for this concealer for me is the color range. They colors are perfect, and very pigmented. Great if you have yellow undertones like myself. I also like the packaging because its a squeeze tube with a very fine nozzle so not too much comes out. ( a little goes a very very very long way!). I also find that it works well with other products.
If you can find it on sale I’d say maybe give it a try, but know you have to work with it and you can’t really wear it alone. Like I said, I have repurchased but that’s really only because I love the color and its a pretty decent concealer for me, so I use it consistently. I wouldn’t pay full price for it though. All in all I’m pleased for now, and will continue using it until I find something else.

This concealer works well to cover flaws that the sheer Perfect & Correct foundations allow to peek through.

I bought this on a whim in a Kohl’s. Normally I wouldn’t buy a product like this for the price I had to pay (I think it was around 15 dollars, but don’t quote me on that). The only reason I bought this is because I had a credit card, so I figured what do I have to lose.
Pros: creamy, full-coverage
Cons: price, a little too light (even though I’m really pale)
I gave it four stars because of the price, and because it was waaaaaay too light. So light that it actually highlighted my blemishes that I was trying to cover up. That being said, this product could also be used as a highlight or an under the eye concealer since it is so bright. It lasts pretty much all day with minimal creasing. I usually use this to cleanup my lipstick lines, and I also put a little dab on a small blending brush and sweep it right beneath my eye as close as I can get to the lashline to clean up any mascara that got on my skin. It doesn’t have any distinct smell to it, and it is really creamy. I like it, but I probably would not repurchase.

This is my go-to concealer. It’s got great coverage, it’s easy to apply and the color match is perfect for me. Lasts at least 8 hours. Sometimes I’ll reapply after a long day, but often times it lasts through the evening.

This concealer has been a dream come true for me. As someone who’s battled dark circles since a teenager, I’ve tried all brands. Either too dark, too light, or too much red. I am brown-skinned with yellow undertones, and this concealer hides my circles perfectly, but the great thing about it is that it blends perfectly with the rest of my skin so that I hardly have to wear foundation. I’ve been wearing this concealer for over 5 years, and always stock up on this concealer, as I never want to run out and am fearful that they might stop making it. The shade I wear is med/dark. My search for the perfect concealer is finally over!!

This concealer works miracles! I swear by this stuff, okay.
I picked it up at my local Kohls in the makeup section. I wasn’t expecting it to work as well as it does!
I have really bad dark circles (they’re genetic), and I couldn’t find a good concealer to cover them up. I’ve tried Garnier Anti Dark Circle Eye Roller (which didn’t work–it made the area underneath my eyes look orange), Covergirl TruConceal (it was okay, but I could still see my dark circles under it), etc… Basically, you name it, I’ve tried it. I didn’t think there was a concealer out there that would help, UNTIL I bought American Beauty Perfecting Concealer! I put a fair amount on, blended it in, and my dark circles were GONE. Just like that!
The color of it is great–it’s a yellowish color. It blends well and it doesn’t come off during the day. It removes easily at night, and the packaging is good. It’s a small, squeezable tube. I like this better than the Covergirl TruConceal, which was a wand-type thing (I don’t know how to describe it), because this tube lets you control the amount that you put on.
I am definitely buying this again–and in bulk! This is my favorite concealer in the history of concealers. That is how much I love and recommend it for anyone to try.

I use this as an every day but concealer but also a full coverage foundation on special occasions. This covers everything but looks so natural. Very easy to blend and buildable coverage. Will continue to repurchase. I have only seen this at Kohls stores so that may be inconvenient for some of you ladies…but if you have a Kohls nearby definitely gove this a try!

I think this is the source of all my problems! I wear it with my maybelline 24 hr superstay (which i have used for about a year now and i know does not break me out) and the next day i get massive pimples and cystic acne. Why? I think it’s this. I have oily skin and acne prone skin and its not oil free or even non-comedogenic. I should have realized when i bought it but I was desperate. The color shade wasnt even a match for my deep skintone! Oh well its just gonna be trash now.

I purchased the shade ‘fair’ and it’s an excellent match to my complexion, for reference I wear MAC NC15. Besides the great match I also like the tube packaging, but that really is the only positive things I personal like about this product. I found the texture of this product to be kind of sticky, very difficult to blend, and looked patchy under the eyes. Even set with powder this concealer creased horribly and sunk into every fine line imaginable. After trying to use this product a few times I’ve given up. Just not a good product for me.

I never read Mary Kay reviews. Beauty consultants rave on the page diluting the truth. I should know, I’m a beauty consultant. But I don’t drink the kool aid or misinform others. I actually purchase items I like. I never sell to anyone. so believe me or not but this is a must have in my collection. the creamy texture and the way it brightens the eyes is just lovely. it last all day and doesn’t crease. I use the under eye corrector just under the eye and then I triangle downward with the light color. tip: dab it. It’s super creamy and spreadable. you won’t be disappointed. one con is it does take a minute to dry (not under eye corrector) but the concealer. that’s why you dab. when setting with powder don’t sweep. wait a few secs then use a powder puff to press and roll. once it’s set it’s good to go.

I’m usually pretty dubious about makeup like Mary Kay that consultants sell for a commission because obviously they make money if you buy so they’re going to talk their products up. I haven’t tried anything from MK yet that I would try again until this concealer. I will definitely buy again. I usually prefer more solid concealers, but while this goes on like a liquid it spreads almost more gel-like, and very evenly. Doesn’t crack, doesn’t look yellow-y on my skin like some concealers do. It looks very natural and I don’t have a single issue with it. Definitely worth the $16 or so!!

Best concealer ever! I have HORRIBLE skin issues, particularly dark acne scarring, and this concealer (Deep Bronze) covers it up PERFECTLY!!!!!!! I put concealer on after I apply my liquid or creme-to-powder foundation. It blends PERFECTLY. My only issue is the price. It’s $16.00 for 6 grams/.21 oz. The old formula was $12.00 for 8.5 grams/.3 oz.

This review is for the new Mary Kay Perfecting Concealer that was released a few months ago. I am a Mary Kay consultant and I do not like this concealer at all. I had high hopes for this concealer and the new corrector, but they are very disappointing. It is light coverage and always looks cakey and creases no matter what I do. I have tried facial primers, eye primers, less creamy eye creams, setting with loose powder, etc. and it is still terrible. Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Concealer is the way to go!
soreLapwing6
While it does crease at first, let it set and then reblend. It works well on under eye blue circles and mine are dark dark dark. Most concealers are too sheer for me but this one covers and lasts.

I use this concealer solely to cover up acne scarring & the occasional zit/pimple that show up overnight. I don’t conceal my under-eye area because Ive never had a problem with dark circles or vein-y under-eyes thank God. That’s one skin blessing I’ve got going for me I suppose. It’d just be totally unfair if I had that in addition to scarring, acne, redness, uneven skin tone, Etc. Anywho!! This Stila Perfecting Concealer: it’s very very thick and “creamy” in consistency, the shade I had was pretty yellow but matched alright I suppose. I sat at Ulta trying on different shades and the one that was closest still wasn’t that close. It’s almost putty-like girls, I’ll say that. It blends like a big crazy mess…its like a dry erase marker in that respect…catch my drift? If you blend back over a spot that already has been concealed, it rubs off. And yes, it is quite shiny, but setting powder will quell that problem. The dry erase aspect, however, cannot be fixed… There’s no way to wear this properly I feel. And although it’s thick and putty like it doesn’t cover up very well. I just feel like this is a waste of $ and ones time. Ugh. 🙁

I am so blown away by how much I really love this concealer. It hit me out of no where.
I bought this in the Shade B and its the concealer that matches me the best out of all the concealers I have tried in my life so far. =)
First a little bit about why I decided to buy this just so if you are having similar issues, maybe this will help.
My favorite 2 drugstore concealers, 1 got reformulated and now its crap. The second got discontinued. So I went back into the higher range of concealers to find something for both under eyes and blemishes. MAC breaks me out. (A lot of things do) I landed on either this one or Too Faced. Same “type” of concealer, same amount of product, similar reviews, but Stila happened to be having a sale.
My under eye area has some fine lines and one eye already has a pretty deep wrinkle.
I have oily skin, but my under eyes are pretty finicky. They are dry but if something is too hydrating it will move and crack and separate. Nothing really has ever stayed well for me. But anything to dry and it looks like a cakey, dry mess.
This concealer has a true satin finish. Very brightening without being pearly or shimmery. But not too radiant that I cant use it on acne, scarring or any other imperfection.
On the under eye area, this WORKS! its hydrating but it sets. Not too dry, but not to creamy that it slips everywhere. I have had NO problems with creasing. It blends very easily and a very tiny amount goes a long way. (Best blended with finger tips.) It does set pretty fast so I would do one eye at a time. Covers my dark circles well and again has a nice brightening effect but nothing that us oily skin people would / should be scared of.
It also has not broken me out.
Even though this costs a bit more, because I can use it multiple ways and you need so little, I think the cost is justified.
Highly recommend.
