Really wanted to love this product. The packaging is nice and the price point isn’t too bad. Unfortunately this left an awful white cast on my face. It also pilled horribly, no matter what other products I used with it. It didn’t cause me to break out at all. If this product didn’t pill I think I would definitely enjoy it!

I’m sad a lot of people have had negative reactions to this product because I love it. I’m on my second tube. For years my favorite moisturizer was Cerave PM, but when I started tretinoin, my skin got really sensitive and the PM was stinging my face. Even though my skin is oily, I needed something thick, soothing, and gentle. Toleriane Double Repair has been just that! It’s not too heavy for my oily skin. In fact I think it’s helped my skin balance a little and produce a tiny bit less oil. The fact that it has niacinamide is really important to me too. This isn’t a super fancy product that would give anyone life-changing results, and there are a few things I don’t love: it’s more expensive than other drugstore brands (like $20 for a tube that lasts about 3 months for me using day and night) and it kind of “pills up” if I put on too much. Overall though, I’m really glad I found it and will continue to repurchase.

I didn’t have a negative reaction to this like others but I felt like it ‘sat’ on my skin and made it feel like I had a bad, cheap gel just laying there. I tried using it as a hand cream just to use it up but it wouldn’t absorb there either. Odd product. Creepy.

On my second tube. It has no smell at all. I use this because I feel like I stripped my skin down in the past by using the wrong products and it could use a chance to build back up a barrier. This product claims to do that. I can’t say for sure if it has?? It does sting for just for a second if you have an irritation or blemish but does not contribute to any redness and does not irritate my skin further.. It’s not a super rich moisturizer and I sometimes follow with Embryolisse Lait Cream I will keep using this product. Overall my skin does appear to be healthier.

When I first tried this I liked the way it made my skin look, but then it turned into a nightmare. I gave it a few chances but it made my skin itch really bad and gave me not only these little irritated pimples on my forehead but I also applied it on my neck.. Big mistake because yes I have breakouts there too now. This is based out of France and was supposed to be for sensitive skin. You really can’t trust anything nowadays.

I received a sample and used only on the sides of my my mouth during the day for a few weeks. Loved how quickly absorbed and wore under makeup/ss. Sure enough, I ended up with a few small, red, irritated, blind bumps only in that area, which is a sure sign of a reaction. I should have known better than to use anything with Myristyl myristate and myristic acid. If you are acne-prone, I would beware.

I have combination skin and just about every moisturizer clogs my pores and causes breakouts but this LRP double repair does not. This has no scent and gave my skin light hydration without any skin irritation. Niacinamide is the 6th listed ingredient in this and can cause irritation or itchy skin in some people though. Packaging states that this will provide 48 hours of moisture but I find this lasts around 12 hours on my skin.

I can’t write a thorough review of this product because it made my skin burn and itch upon first use, so I could only tolerate it twice. It’s also not particularly moisturizing, and has an unpleasant texture. Weirdly, LRP and CeraVe are the brands that have given me the worst reactions. My skin is very dry, dehydrated, sensitive, and rosaceatic, and finding a suitable skincare regimen is a nightmare, let alone one that’s actually budget friendly. My partner also had the same burning sensation with this product, and they don’t have particularly sensitive skin, so I’d be wary.
If anyone can recommend a good, simple facial moisturizer for barrier repair and maintenance, that’s suitable for sensitive skin, please message me.

Full disclosure: I have terrible skin! It’s very dry and highly reactive to various ingredients, some unknown. Almost any moisturizer will make my skin turn rosy with a slight burning feeling. My dermatologist recommends the La Roche-Posay brand, so I was pretty eager to try a double repair moisturizer because I definitely need a double repair. At first the cream felt cool and soothing. I was so hopeful! But, predictably, about an hour later, my skin felt irritated, dry, tight, and was turning pink. What was odd was that this cream pilled up all over my face, each of the 3 times I used it. A friend commented that my face was peeling. Embarrassing! Why this happened, I have no clue, nor do I understand why this cream did not feel moisturizing! I’m starting to wonder if I need a moisturizer which contains some kind of non-irritating oil. Yes, the quest continues …

I had a lot of high hopes for this but I ended up getting an allergic reaction somehow despite the fact that it’s for sensitive, reactive skin. I’m really disappointed, especially since I have rosacea and have to be careful with the products that I use.
