My “overall rating” of 4 is for the product itself. I think it’s a very good concealer. It’s a little on the dry side IMO but still blendable, and it doesn’t cause my undereye area to look worse (dry, more wrinkled than they are, etc.). Since it’s not overly emollient, it doesn’t seem to smear around and lasts pretty well on me. I would call the coverage medium-to-full. I suspect that some of the “dry” feeling I get from it is because it doesn’t dispense well out of the sponge tip applicator.
Did I mention the packaging? It is absolutely atrocious. I would very likely buy this product again if it weren’t for the packaging. Without a package improvement, probably not. Let me count the problems: 1) The twist-up mechanism doesn’t seem to dispense much product; 2) Excess product seeps out under the cap after a few uses, which means the cap will no longer fit all the way down into a fully closed position; 3) Excess product under the cap dries down and works like glue to prevent easy cap removal; 4) Twist mechanism located at the bottom of the outer package gives my hand nowhere to hold on while I’m trying to pull off the glued-on cap and continues to turn and release product from the sponge under the cap; 5) Rubber kitchen gripper required to get cap off more easily.
I’ve tried to clean the underside of the cap and the area around the sponge to no avail. I would love for the actual concealer to be available in ANY other container. A squeeze tube, a tube with a doefoot applicator, a pot, a bottle with a pump, ANYTHING would be better.

I hate the packaging on this it makes it almost unusable. The formula is gold, just perfect, doesn’t move, is not drying and looks amazing. Just perfect. But the sponge is awful and moves everywhere and the clicker either brings up no product or a bunch. Also, if your hands are not perfectly dry, you can’t get the cap off. I ended up returning it because the packaging was so useless which was a real disappointment because the formula inside was amazing. I will repurchase if she changes the packaging to either a squeeze tube or a doe foot applicator.

This is my favorite concealer right now. I am 40 with currently medium cool toned skin that is normal, neither oily nor dry. I’m not hiding anything except some hereditary redness and dark circles and it’s important to me that whatever I use doesn’t age me (sink into pores, fine lines, cake up etc) OR move around/wear off. I use shade 5 in this and magic foundation (the original one) which is probably equal to around an nw25-30. I will copy this review to the foundation as well with slightly different wording. I happen to LOVE the applicator and do not worry about product waste or germs. This is my routine when I do a Charlotte Tilbury face (pic attached I’m in a hat):
After my super elaborate skincare routine which involves antioxidants peptides niacinamide creams (including CT magic cream last step before spf) eye cream etc and sunscreen (this is same every single am regardless of what makeup I’m using – this is just my CT makeup routine which some things carry over to my other foundations):
Prime face with the CT youth glow primer in white bottle which has radiance and is best CT primer for redness. Prime under eye with Becca under eye primer. Apply CT magic foundation shade 5 with any foundation brush which gives the most coverage. Apply Becca under eye corrector in light/medium. Blend that in with this product‘s sponge applicator in shade 5. That’s where I love the sponge it is perfect. Then I blend further since this sponge is really just an applicator with a DRY beauty blender- the skinny tip. Set this with CT loose powder in shade 1 or pressed in shade 2 (that’s just what I own there’s not such a big difference in 1&2). Set under eye further with Becca under eye powder. Do my contour/highlight/blush, then use a radiant finishing powder with a ginormous brush to blend and lock it all in (the pink Becca powder, guerlain meteorites, etc) then I complete eyes brows lips etc.
This concealer is radiant (even with the powders) and doesn’t move around. My mascara doesn’t smudge with it. It lasts all day. It doesn’t settle in ANY fine lines. It brightens. It doesn’t look cakey AT ALL. You may also use where you need additional coverage which I do on my nostrils because I have allergies and sometimes blow my nose. The website has a matching tool to help with the color choices and which concealer shade to match with which foundation. Since I use the Becca corrector under this and there’s already a thin layer of magic foundation, I get totally opaque coverage on my blue hereditary circles.
I have nothing bad to say about this. I honestly do not understand the hate for the applicator. It’s not like you’re sharing it with people. I hope… haha.

Amazing packaging! By far the most beautiful packaging that I have ever seen shouldn’t miss in any collection!! However, it creases and emphasizes every small line you have on your skin! It’s awful, and even drugstore products perform better. So if you are after a beautiful packaging, this is something for you! If you are after a concealer which you can use avoid it at all costs!

I love the way this concealer looks. I hate the way it applies. I have used amazing concealer for YEARS (once got Lancôme- it was nice, but I’m loyal) and i needed something else since amazing cosmetics is harder to get in Canada. This was recommended at Nordstrom. I keep catching myself in the mirror with this… even after a 14 hour day, it looks so good. I keep makeup simple, I do wear it with a bb cream under my eyes, by my nose, a little on chin and on spots. Then set it with a little powder. It’s probably just the slightest bit too dark because when this summer’s barely-there-tan fades I think maybe the colour won’t be bright enough. But I love the staying power. It barely breaks up or settles in lives after a long day.
It gives me anxiety to say, but I would likely replace my amazing concealer (maybe…) if It just weren’t for the miserable applicator. It’s truly horrible, though I still give the product 5.. Eventually not fixing that will cause me too much frustration though, so pleaseeeee change the applicator. This product is worth a try.

I tried a sample of this and i fell in love. Hard. Been searching high and low for a hydrating concealer that covers without creasing or budging while looking like skin/natural. This is it. Ive found it. I gotten the sample while waiting for my Giorgio armani Power Fabric Concealer in the mail. Now i am thinking of returning it and buying this Magic Away instead. For now i am super super impressed! It really is stretchy and feel like as if it is spanx for the undereyes. I actually enjoy the sponge tip because i remmeber liking the Maybelline Age Rewind (120 classic ivory). I dont set my concealer so im sure this can perform even better for those of you that have a good setting powder. I am tempted to buy the airbrush powder by CT to pair with this. This looks natural and is pigmented to cover mild dark circles. It fades a tiny bit but boy did it fade gracefully. It also started to look a little bunched up and settles into tiny fine lines if i am being really picky. It honestly doesnt look bad at all at the end of the day. I love using this on no foundation days to spot conceal and it works really well in covering my acne scars and redness around my nose. It looks like skin and i can be confident with jst some tinted spf, this concealer and i am out the door ! I hate using powder to set my makeup and this is gorgeous all day without setting. This is better than all the concealers ive tried, listed below.
I used Mac in Nw20, Nars Radiant Creamy in Creme Brule, Chanel Le Correctur in 10 beige, YSL High Cover Touche Eclat in 2 ivory, Too faced Super coverage in Cream puff. Tarte Shape Tape in Light Beige B22
And I use Charlotte tilbury in shade 3 but i can use shade 2 to get a brighter undereye. Shade 3 looks more natural and less ashy
Edit- tried the GA power fabric and immediately wanted to go out to buy the CT Magic Away. I am returning the GA. I prefer a creamier tacky radiant formula. The GA power fabric is thinner in consistensy but it looks more dry and by the end of the day it settled into my fine lines. and makes me look older. I love how the MA is creamier and also covers better. I also pair this with Ole Henriksen Banana Eye Cream underneath. No need to set it these 2 are my Must haves
Final edit, i became really annoyed at the spongetip applicator as it got dirtier so i ripped it off. Then i decided to go back to try the Giorgio Armani Power Fabric in shade 3. I find it to be similar and more bang for my buck. Cheaper per oz. The CT is still a favorite but I really wish they change the packaging. I go back and forth with these two but I can say CT is more hydrating by the end of the day.

Not great. Is is very pigmented. Give beautiful effect until you move your face. Then creases and emphasizes every small line. I heave tried it with and without powder. Same outcome. Tried with and without moisturizer and with same creasing. Primer under eye does not help. Color 5 was good match to my light medium eye. Wanted it to work for 2 weeks on left eye but Shape tape won head to head every time. Returned to Nordstrom

I’m an NC 25 with purplish undereye shadows so most of all I need something that acts like a natural luminizer without being too thick or pasty because I don’t want any of the fine lines to be emphasized. If the coverage is too high, I feel like I’m looking weird, it just looks too harsh or unnatural. The most important aspect for me then is the degree to which a concealer makes a noticeable difference and looks natural and undetectable at the same time. This concealer – leaving all the hype around CT aside – does exactly that for me, and is therefore the HG for my undereye area. Think YSL Touche Eclat, luminosity but with more coverage. If I have enough time, I put Beccas Undereye Brightening Corrector under it and all the tiredness is gone. I use number 2 which leans towards a neutral warm vanilla tone. I’ve seen a lot of concealers come and go, but this one stands out when it comes to texture and a soft brightening and smoothing effect without creasing that I definitely need in my forties.

I just brought this today. I have been using Bobbi Brown concealer for several years, but felt like it was too heavy and tacky feeling, not to mention it does sort of settle into fine lines and the is a very aging look. My backup concealer has been Lancome, which is just not a great color since it gives me the reverse raccoon look. Ugh. Not attractive. I can honestly say that I think the Charlotte Tilbury is a flattering (shade 2) brightening concealer. Once dry it is very smooth looking and its light consistency does not settle into fine lines. I am not a fan of the applicator. I will just have to live with it since I like the end results. Definitely worth trying. For reference, I do not have serious darkness under my eyes. I just have the blue in the inner corners, which this concealer alleviates while brightening the whole under eye area.

So much hype over this concealer and I was so excited to try it. The shade range is weird to me. I was looking for a shade to match my NW20 skin, but #3 is too yellow, a little dark; #2 is pinkish, a little too light. I settled on #2 to try out a few days. As others mentioned, the applicator is really bad. Its spongey texture doesn’t help blend the product at all. Instead it’s too large to target the under eye circle area (which is what I wanted to use it for) and just really has no benefit. I started dabbing the product onto my hand and then applying from there. Once I started doing that I could get okay coverage and a slight brightening effect from #2, without much creasing. But it’s just too much work to use a mostly mediocre product. Spend your money elsewhere.
