This primer is my absolute favorite! It brightens your skin and reduces redness, and also is moisturizing all at the same time! I use this product after I tone my face and use a serum. I wear this product under makeup. This product doubles as my primer and my moisturizer. It’s so nice not having to moisturize and then use a primer. It moisturizes without leaving your face oily. I highly recommend this product and I will be buying it again!

Very lightweight moisturizer which I like but I don’t think I would purchase this again. Same quality if not better can be found in the drugstore for half the price, no need to splash out on this. Curious to try the thicker version of this though for the winter!

Simple, glowy- used as an everyday moisturizer. Find skin looks plump and dewey quite far into the day.

I got this as a gift . I never really wanted to try it as I have oily/combo skin and always weary about moisturisers that fit “all skin types” but it wasnt that bad.
Overall it is a nice cream by itself – my skin doesn’t get too oily using it and it seems to keep my skin moisturised (except atm, I am going through a sensitive skin period and have very dry patches and it seems to not help those bits…). I have not broken out using this either and does help a bit of my redness.
As a primer I would say it isn’t good at all. When I use this by itself and then use it with foundation, the foundation seems to be more cakey and cling onto my dry patches. Because of this I thought I would use another moisturiser and use this as a primer however for some reason, my skin seems to react and it becomes itchy and a bit red? Im not really sure but i dont like the feeling and it makes my skin oily throughout the day.

I got a sample of this with my Glossier order. It’s a very thin moisturizer that smells kind of like my great-grandma’s handbag. Also like my great-grandma’s handbag, it’s not particularly good under makeup. What else is there to say? Literally any other thin lotion on the market will perform exactly the same. There’s no need to spend $22 plus shipping on this.

Amazing. I have very sensitive skin, that is both combination/leaning towards oily, and very red across my nose and cheeks. To be honest I used this last summer, and have used other moisturisers since; the presence of retinol in the ingredients really put me off, so I went elsewhere and honestly nothing compares. I also understand that everything in skincare is subjective, and based off the varying review for this product it doesn’t work for everyone.
Despite it claiming to be glowy, it doesn’t make my skin super oily, especially around my t-zone. It is buildable, and as someone with combo skin I love that it is. It allows me to put a little more on my cheeks. This product lasts such a long time, I bought it in May last year and it lasted me until November using it both morning and night.
It dulled my redness slightly (nothing will truly get rid of the redness for me as it’s such a deep red), my skin is also very sensitive to fragrance and this doesn’t have any.
Like I said I’ve used others since, including the priming moisturiser rich, which gave me the same level of hydration for a dearer price. It sits well under everything. Furthermore, this year I started getting serious about sunscreen, and have been using a separate sunscreen over the top of this. And it does not pill or look funny. Last summer was very hot, hotter than usual for England and this held up. I was working outside and had to reapply sunscreen every few hours and I did not break out as this as my base product at all.
Now it’s winter I put a dropper of squalane oil with this and it’s perfect.
OVERALL:
Texture: sinks right in no matter how much you apply. I don’t like gel cream despite having combo skin, they feel sticky and drying somehow, this is a perfect thin cream
Smell: none
Wear test: kept my dehydrated skin soft all day

1/3/19 UPDATE:
– The inclusion of retinol in the ingredient list ended up giving me bumps. If they just took the retinol off of the ingredients list, I would buy this forever. Furthermore, despite being good about applying SPF I am now worried that I did some damage to my skin wearing this working outside all day during the summer. Such a shame that for me personally, one ingredient, which I’m not sure should even be in a moisturiser aimed at using in the daytime, made me stop using this. Really would of had a customer for life with this moisturiser otherwise!

I got a little sample of this from a Glossier order my cousin made for me when he was in the US (I live in Australia and Glossier doesn’t ship here). Upon looking at the ingredients list, this wasn’t a product that really interested me especially since I already have moisturisers that I love and trust. But I thought, what the heck. It’s just a sample and despite the mixed reviews, I might as well try it.
The thing I like about this is the consistency and how it feels on the skin. Makes my skin feel soft and nicely moisturises without feeling greasy. BUT THIS BROKE ME OUT. The next morning after using this the night before, I woke up with a few deep, painful nodules on my jawline. I tend to only test out new products one at a time, so i think it’s safe to say that I attribute the breakouts to this moisturiser. And yes, it’s a moisturiser. Not a primer. Too bad. A miss for me.

I tried to love this product for a long time, but it hates me. At first I was like it’s not you, it’s me – maybe it’s just my hormonal acne throwing a fit! But the bumps and redness persisted. Then I thought: it’s not you, it’s this other moisturiser I’ve used half my life! Which of course it was not. It was you, Glossier Priming Moisturiser.
Products work different for everyone, therefore I cannot say with certainty that you should never purchase this product. However, I am not the only person who has reacted this way to this product. Having said that, there seems to be a risk this product will hate you too.

Took me a while to admit it out loud but this moisturizer made me break out in itchy acne, and I was on accutane. The absolute worst I’ve had from a product. Same thing happened to 3 of my friends who tried it, too– even the ones who never had issues with acne.
Another garbage glossier skincare product.

Sadly this product made me break out all over and also gave me small red irritated bumps around my mouth and on my chin – and I don’t even have super sensitive skin. Trying to figure out what ingredient is causing this, as the original balm dot calm flavor also gives me similar irritation around the mouth and basically all of their skin care products cause this type of irritation for me EXCEPT the milk jelly cleanser. Was upsetting since they market themselves as a brand that is gentle and for sensitive skin (and I don’t usually even fall in this category).
