   The best thing about this cleansing oil is that it’s really accessible, it’s difficult where I live to find a cleansing oil at the drugstore or a cleansing oil that isn’t over $30. Very gentle on my skin and works great at removing makeup and sunscreen. My skin feels soft and plump after I use it, it’s not drying at all. Doesn’t do much for reducing acne but it doesn’t cause more so I would say it does its job. As much as I would like to branch out and try different cleansing oils, this is the easiest one to find for me so I would definitely repurchase again.

   I love this cleanser in autumn and winter. It lathers up into a very soft foam, not very much foam, which I like. It has almost no scent and and your skin just smells fresh and clean after using this. I also don’t need a body moisturizer after using this as it leaves the skin moisturized and very soft. And I don’t know if the ingreditens were changed but as other people here stated it would leave a film of mineral oil on the skin? There is no mineral oil in this product! I’m on my third bottle now and will certainly repuchase

   I have acne and rosacea and am currently taking low dose Roaccutane, as well as using prescription azelaic acid. I also have the most allergic sensitive skin ever, and have to use as few products as possible. I decided to try this cleanser after suffering a contact dermatitis to Aveeno – and use it on a night. It doesn’t quite remove all makeup, hence the 4/5 rating, but it is very gentle and leaves a soft feeling. It is thick and not what I was expecting of an oil based cleanser but in a good way, I don’t like the oily residue some leave behind so Avène have the balance of oils and emulsifiers just right. It cleared up dry patches on each cheek within a day or two, and I have continued to use it nightly for the past month. Highly recommend and don’t be afraid to put it on your face – it didn’t break me out or cause any kind of irritation.

   I can see this as a favourite for those with dry skin. I would prefer to have a clean feeling (no oily film) then moisturize with preferred body lotion or face cream. Since it doesn’t thoroughly clean off makeup, I don’t have use for this pricey cleanser. Glad I tried it though to satisfy my curiosity.

   I expected more creamy texture.
   It stings my eyes and smells like washing liquid for dishes.
   It is better than foaming cleansers and dries my skin less than other products. However I cannot say that I feel calming effect.
   One positive thing is that it removes about 95% of water resistant sunscreen.
   I’ve been using this product for less than a week so I am not sure if I will repurchase.

   I’ve been using the Eucerin shower oil for years, and once in a while I try something else just for variety’s sake. This shower oil is fragrance-free and mild, but basically that’s all that is good about it. I didn’t check the ingredients list before purchasing, and it was a huge mistake, because this product is quite expensive. The first three ingredients are: water, mineral oil and glycerin. Basically the cheapest things you can put in a moisturizer or a moisturizing cleanser. This shower oil doesn’t really lather, but I don’t find it a bonus, because I prefer to use my shower oil for shaving as well. The mineral oil stays on your skin as a sticky residue, which is a natural thing. That’s why they put it in diaper creams and baby creams: it is the best occlusive, and prevents the bacteria from reaching the broken skin. The pump is too short, so it’s difficult to squirt the oil in your palm, and a lot of product is wasted. This is not the first time when I find that Avene sells baby products for outrageous prices, and actually other French pharmacy lines do that as well. I don’t like mineral oil, which is just a personal opinion, I know it’s a mild ingredient, and it has a lot of advantages. But if you like to use it, I recommend you to look for a cheaper alternative among the baby products.

   Contrary to the name, this is a mild, low-lathering cleansing fluid for face and body. It bears no resemblance to a conventional cleansing oil, and indeed, fares rather poorly at makeup removal. I can only surmise that Avene meant a shower oil like Eucerin’s.

   Though it lathers softly and rinses clean, it is very gentle. It’s rare that a detergent-based cleanser does not bother my dry, irritable skin, but at least for the summer, it works nicely in the mornings or as a second cleanse after makeup removal. Without thinking about it, I find myself often reaching for it before my other cleansers, in my estimation, a sign of an effective but non-invasive formulation. It has a slightly odd, faint smell—no added fragrance, but off the ingredients themselves—but I stopped noticing after a while. My favorite use for it, by far, is as a shampoo. It’s only logical that my scalp is sensitive, too, and the average shampoo is a plague on its existence. It’s not an option if your hair gets greasy quickly, nor does it foam as much as a regular shampoo (about five pumps is necessary), and at $30 for 400ml it could be less expensive, but it’s well worth it for me. My scalp no longer itches and flakes. No dandruff treatment, hair oil, or scalp serum has ever boasted as much.

   The packaging is a little cumbersome. I understand it’s designed to minimize contamination, but the short spout sometimes gets messy.
