   This is one of the best mineral sunscreens I have come across. My room mate ordered a bunch of them during a sale and gave me one to test out. I liked the inclusion of great antioxidants in the ingredients list as well as cardiospermum extract (also known as balloon vine extract) which is one of the BEST ingredients for anti inflammatory/ anti redness.
   It is hard to perfect a mineral sunscreen without making it very thick, chalky, greasy and leaving a white cast but this one manages to provide protection as well as hydration without doing any of these things. It also wears super well under my makeup and I have VERY oily oily skin.
   My only complaint is the inclusion of lavender oil. Essential oils are typically very irritating to the skin. While the lavender is listed very low on the ingredient list it is still VERY strong when I first apply it. But the scent does dissipate after a few minutes and I haven’t had an adverse reactions from this product. If you are oily, a makeup wearer and prefer a zinc based SPF this is worth a try. I think it would be nice for dry skin too but you would probably need to layer a moisturizer underneath.

   I liked this but did not love it since whilst its cosmetically elegant, it contains too much slip so it never sets, smudges everything else on top and is too silicone filled. I like physical sunscreens but since there is no lasting power and is definitely not waterproof I prefer US formulations since they stick on the skin and wear like iron. Since physical particles needs an oil base, i have not yet found something that is absolutely great. There is nothing to fault about this except for the fact that it way too emollient and I could not layer successfully without everything smooshing around afterwards. Also i like to use the recommended amount of half a teaspoon for the face, but i could not do it with this. The formula is very fine, light and leaves no white cast. This also comes in a serum version, which i think may be better since it could be better absorbed. I finished this as a body sunscreen, worked great for that.

   Without contest this is the best 100% physical filter sunscreen I’ve ever used. I mean the others don’t even come close. But that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Even though I am very pale (MAC N1/N2) it definitely leaves a cast on my skin. Not a bad one, and you might not even notice it if you’re not looking, but it’s there. On the upside, it’s easy to hide with a little BB cream on top. Secondly, it’s fragranced. Like very fragranced in the way Korean cosmetics usually are (floral). It fades pretty quickly, but the first time I used it I was really surprised by the pronounced scent. Another thing – a neutral thing, depending on your skin – is that it’s not hydrating. That can be good or depending on your skin. My skin is a dry and while it doesn’t add any moisture it also doesn’t take any away like a lot of physical sunscreens do. Last, it’s not sweat/water proof. That may or may not be a deal breaker. I would love if I could wear this one days when I’m working outside or swimming because my skin is quite sensitive to sunscreens and this doesn’t irritate it, but it just doesn’t hold up to that kind a wear. BUT it still works great for days when I’ll be getting a lot of sun w/o sweat/water being a factor, which happens way more than days that do, do. So those are my caveats with it, which, overall, aren’t huge factors for me. What is a big factor is that this is an insanely cosmetically elegant physical sunscreen that is both high SPF and high PPD, which is the most important thing, next to not irritating my skin. After all the best sunscreen is the one you wear consistently, and this is a joy to wear. Like I said, cosmetically elegant, high protection, and it doesn’t dry out and/or sensitize my skin. Also, the bottle is a decent size for asian sunscreen, even if the price is a little high.
