I absolutely adore this color, consistency and everything about this gloss!! Gingersnap is amazing, I hope it never changes. I’ve gone through numerous tubes. It’s a gloss that I actually finish, which is rare. Love NYX!!

Last time I tried to get Ginger Snap, I bought Praline because they were out of GS. I like Praline, but I LOVE GS. It’s warm toasty brown, and like the other Butter Glosses, it’s the perfect consistency. These are so good!

I am NC 30-35, Asian olive skinned and have deeply pigmented lips with cool undertones. I bought gingersnap based on the review below as I love Madeline and praline. Easy to apply, easy to remove, buttery (or a bit greasy on lips) but that is a relief after you wear matte lip cream or lip stick for a few days. Yes this sticks a bit if your hair gets on your lips, but it is gloss. You can reapply these colors without much fuss or a mirror. And they are well priced. They are scented (reminds me of twinkies) but they are tasteless and the scent does dissipate. Would definitely repurchase.

I had to write a review to help save this NYX Butter Gloss – Ginger Snap. I love this color! I mentioned in another review for the butter gloss Praline, that I feel this color tone is a sister of Madeline and Praline. Ginger snap is just the darkest version. They are all brown-based and still sheer – but each has a deep tint of nude that makes it contrast to the other.
Ginger snap is my dark brown-based nude that is great for a dressy occasion. I’m not a huge fan of lipsticks, and this would be like my version of a lipstick for going out. The brown tones work with my natural color and just look so nice. If you like brown tones or have a skin color that works with Madeline and Praline, you will like this.
I had no issues with application, I applied a good thick coat, rubbed my lips together and it looked amazing. No streakiness – nothing. Love it. I heard a YouTube beauty guru call this gloss “Mud Pie” and I totally disagree. If you like the tones of it – you’ll understand. To each their own. I love this.

As a lipgloss, I do not expect this to be this heavy and thick. Really hard to get even coverage with this because it’s just soooo thick! It wears off very quickly. The butter-y scent goes from good to gross after an hour or so and I just wanted to take it off and thank god I did. This is disguisting.
But the color is perfect and the finish is ????????
I need to find a high end version of this
