   Very luxurious and dewy, but not overly for my age. I use it under my foundation successfully. This is a mineral sunscreen and so excellent for the face. The best sunscreen I have found so far. Hopefully there is a non-tinted one for my neck.
   Colour is lighter than my Sukin one and darker than my Paula’s choice one.

   I am a fan of Elta MD and have been using UV Daily Broad Spectrum SPF 40 non tinted for years. I love everything about UV Elements BUT the tint which is an issue with all Elta MDs I have tried that are tinted. I am NC 20 and really lean yellow in undertones and this is just too orange in tint and too dark. It dries down to a very unflattering color on me – like I am wearing the wrong color of foundation. Otherwise, it applies easily, dries down well to a somewhat matte texture and overall, feels good. I will mix this with my untinted version and use it up but I was really hoping for a physical only sunscreen but unless they make this is an un-tinted version, it is a no go for my skin tone.

   Yes, this is my favorite Elta sunscreen…I have tried a bunch of them. I like the tint, the consistency, everything about it. will repurchase for sure.

   I give this a 5 because its the best sunscreen I’ve used so far, but real talk, I hate sunscreen, especially in the dry winters where I live. That said I wear this everyday. Its a big improvement from the Elta MD Physical 41 that I had been using for years before I found this. The Elements is a bit more moisturizing, and has a creamier, more elegant texture. The tint is about the same, no issues here on my NC25 skin. On a good skin, or I don’t care that much kind of day, this and some concealer are all I need. However, I often put some Glossier Skin Tint on top and the combination gives me a really even but natural look.

   In the the more humid part of the year (late spring to early fall) this is great. However, in the winter, the zinc in it is drying and my skin often feels tight and dehydrated when its on. A lot of the dehydration comes from Retin-A which I need for my acne. Moisturizer helps a little bit, and I’m not going to deduct points because this is an issue with any physical sunscreen for me in the winter. This one has given me the least problems.

   Also the pump is kind of weird, especially with a new bottle. Sometimes product won’t come out. I figured out the trick to getting it to work is to unscrew the pump, squeeze out any trapped air in the bottle and then put the pump back on. This bottle design might be more airtight, but I’d prefer a squeeze tube like the Physical 41.

   This goes on a *little scary* with my neutral but fair-toned skin…but once I’ve rubbed it in properly, it does look nice. If you find this to be too much color when applied in the requisite 1/4 teaspoon amount, try applying a non-tinted SPF first as your main sunscreen, then apply a lighter layer of UV Elements over top. The other EltaMD tinted SPF I tried was way too dark and orangey; this one looks like more of a brown-base tan. I think it’s a bit too dark for my winter skin (basically nothing “tan” is believable on me this time of year), but it will look really nice in the summer. My favorite part is that I *think* it will finally solve my self-tanning dilemma…I use St. Tropez tanning mousse on my body, but I don’t want it on my face (Retin A + tanner = potential for an orange, flakey disaster). UV Elements appears to be dark enough that it will make my face look properly “tanned” when I use sunless tanner, without the need for bronzer. At the very least, it will take the edge off my face’s ghostly whiteness, so it won’t stand out so much (in contrast with my body). And, because it’s a sunscreen (which I wear daily anyway), I won’t have to add an extra step to my routine. Added bonus – it’s a physical sunscreen with no chemical filters, so I can wear it all around my eyes! And, even better – it’s not as thick and occlusive as EltaMD UV Pure!

   HOWEVER: My concern with this product is how it might hold up to normal “summer wear”, given the fact that it’s almost like wearing a foundation with my skin tone. Will it look like makeup running/smearing on my face if I sweat?How will it look if I wear it to the beach…will it look splotchy as I swim, sweat, dry my face, etc? Would I be able to reapply it on the go? Will it leave stains on my clothing and towels, like a foundation would? I took away one lippie because I just don’t know. This could be an awesome product for summer, or it could be a hot mess…I really think it could go either way.

   This sunscreen has one of the best tints I’ve found so far. I’m NW20, and most tints are too dark and/or yellow and/or orange to look natural on me. The new Avene BB cream in shade “Light” was a particular disaster; La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral was somewhat better, but still a little too dark. This Elta MD tint suits me pretty well. I was happy to catch a glimpse of myself late in the day yesterday and notice that I had a nice glow — not that I was the wrong color!

   The texture is balmier than the La Roche-Posay, which is more like a serum foundation. And it’s far more manageable than the Avene, which was creamy but hard to spread, even with a blending sponge. I like that this is a very calming formula — it doesn’t aggravate my redness at all

   I’m still hoping this doesn’t cause breakouts, which is my biggest problems with sunscreens of all types!

   6/13/17 UPDATE: Unfortunately, heat + humidity + sunscreen w/ silicone always seems to equal breakouts for me. This one is not a total disaster, but I’m going back to powders for the summer.

   I bought this from the natural aesthetics/laser training school where I purchased a series of pixel laser treatments. It’s a nicely moisturizing product (hylauronic acid) and the tint enhances my medium skin tone beautifully.

   I just purchased a second one to keep in my purse so that I can reapply whenever going out into the hot Arizona sun. I was recently diagnosed with a melanoma-in-situ spot on my face and am scheduled for Mohs surgery next week. I was really surprised, since it looked just like an age spot to me. I would never have recognized it as an early stage of cancer.

   Now for the reminder: It is a MUST to wear a good sunscreen regardless of where you live!

   This is a great way for me to get a natural glow with this being a high-SPF mineral-based product with tinted moisturizer to boot.

   Highly recommend and Holy Grail!

   It is reasonably priced on Ebay and the DermStore.
