I’ve used this glue for a few years now and every time I use it now, it leaves little to be desired.
The first time I bought the OG HOL glue was directly from its website. I loved that formula, the glue had a pretty turquoise color as it dried down and I knew exactly when I should start applying them to my lash line. It dried down almost instantly after I applied the lashes and the inner and outer corners never lifted up and always felt like it was secured. This was my HG glue.
My glue ended up drying up after using it so many times, I didn’t want to pay for shipping on 1 item but I saw Sephora had a Sephora x HOL collection lash glue. I thought it was the same but now I don’t exactly think so. When I use the Sephora x HOL glue, it takes forever to dry, even after I apply my lashes. I’d have to blow on the glue and then blow dry my eyes after applying the lashes, even then it won’t dry down correctly. I have small double eyelids and my lids end up getting glued together.
I’m going to purchase the HOL glue direct from the site and give it one last try before I move on to finding a new glue.

The best lash glue of all time. The packaging is cute, the wand deposits the right amount of product to the lash and it smells amazing while not irritating my eyes. It took a few uses for me to understand this product is ready to use right after application. I do not have to wait at all as it is at optimal stickiness once applied to the lash band. That blew my mind! I had never experienced that before and now I have 4 backups. The smell is the best thing about this. Lashes are the ultimate luxury. They make a huge difference on the outcome of eye makeup. So the fact that this smells so good makes me smile every time I use it.

I have only ever used DUO glue before, so I am not a pro when it comes to lashes and lash glue. Hoever, compared to DUP this lash glue is amazing:
– The DUO one smelled horrible, this one doesn’t.
– The DUO one was not easy to apply due to the packaging, the HoL one is super easy to apply since it has a brush applicator.
– The DUO one took minutes to dry, this one is much quicker
– The DUO one wasn’t very sticky, this one is and it holds your lash amazingly onto your eyes!
– With DUO my lashes would eventually come off at the ends, especially when my eyes were watery, with this one they don’t.
No surprise that I like the HoL eyelash adhesive a lot more than the duo one. The only point, where the HoL one is a bit more tricky is when it comes to taking it off. It is harder to remove from the false lashes and your natural lashes, but I’ll take that 🙂

Took forever to remove Tried baby oil and makeup remover this dries hard like cement it was hard to apply and impossible to Remove. Will stick to my duo which has some give.

Not sure what the hype is all about. I bought this because I heard it’s fast drying, it wasn’t. I applied a small amount on a strip of lashes, no stick. I applied a large amount on a strip of lashes, no stick. I ended up just applying my lashes with some DUO glue. I gave this product 2 lippies because I like the applicator.

I really like this glue (both the clear and dark). It has a pleasant light floral scent and is easy to apply to the band. It gets tacky quickly (~30 sec) and once the lashes are on my eyes I know they’re not going ANYWHERE! However, when I take my lashes off its almost like peeling Velcro off my eyelids. It pulls at your delicate eye area. Also some of the glue gets left behind on my actual lashes. This can easily be fixed by using a Qtip dipped in eye makeup remover though. I have repurchased and will continue to do so. I love that it’s formaldehyde and latex free! Costs $8.

Worst eyelash glue ever, made my eyes water all day and the glue stuck to my actual lashes no matter how many times I used make up remover/wipes etc it was still stuck onto my root of lashes”
Waste of £8!

This lash glue has changed my life. I can’t believe how much easier it is to use than the old squeeze tube latex glue. The HOL glue is thin and you paint it on the lash band. I have the black glue. I’ve always used black drying glue, it gives a more natural appearance to false lashes. I also find it helps to paint a very small amount past the lash band and onto the actual lash, just a little below the band. This keeps the lashes attached to my own. I just paint it on, wait about 15-20 seconds, then apply. I have never had my lashes lift. I find it easier to remove the glue from my lash line after I remove my false lashes. There’s no thick gummy line to peel off your lids. My favorite thing about this glue is that there is no smell. The duo glue smelled like dirty fish heads. So gross. I buy my house of lash glue off of amazon and you get 2 tubes for less than $20. It will last forever.

I’ve always used duo black glue but this house of lashes adhesive is pretty good.
Pros:
– brush applicator
– formula gets tacky quick
Cons:
– only available online
– a bit more expensive compared to duo
Overall, I would repurchase this product!
