I this for occasional exfoliation as needed, probably once a week when I take a day off from Retin-a. If I’m having breakouts, especially right around my period week, or if feel my skin is becoming very dull, I may bump it up to two-three times and it really helps make the acne clear up quicker. It’s really leave the skin glowing and bright, so I also like to use it the night before a special occasion to make sure I have a fresh glow.
I definitely prefer chemical exfoliants over physical. For those of you very into skincare ingredients: This has glycolic acid and lactic acid as the exfoliants- two acids I find work really well with my skin. It also has light moisturizing ingredients like glycerin, cetearyl alcohol, and jojoba seed oil and l green tea. Lots of good stuff! I just wish it didn’t have fragrance in the form (lemon) but because it’s not any every day product, I’m ok with it. However, I will say if you’ve ever had a real peel, this is nothing like that. It doesn’t make you “peel” and I’d consider this a medium-mild chemical exfoliant. It does sting a little bit, but goes away quickly and not bothersome. Indo sometimes use moisturizer over this (after I’ve let it sit on the skin for a while to do its thing) because on its own I don’t find it to be very hydrating.
I like the pump packaging, makes stays clean and easy to use.
I have already repurchased this product, and will repurchase again when I run out, but one bottle last a VERY long time. It is reasonably priced and a very good value

I’ve been using this for about a year and I really like it. I’ll probably try something else when I run out, but if I don’t find something that works better, I’ll switch back to this one.
When I first started using this, I only used it once a week because I have sensitive, dry skin and it did sting a little in places. After about a month or so, I upped it to twice a week, and now I just use it whenever (sometimes 4 times a week, sometimes only once, depending on how my skin is feeling and what else I’m using at the time). I only feel stinging now when my skin is a little irritated already, or around a particularly dry area.
The first thing I noticed that this did for my skin was making it look and feel smoother. I think that started before I upped my usage to twice a week. Shortly after I started using it twice a week, I noticed my post acne marks and scarring were less dark. After a couple of months, a lot of the older marks were totally gone, and this does seem to help post acne marks fade much faster than anything else I’ve tried so far. I don’t have horrible acne anymore, but I do break out hormonally a couple times a month, and sometimes I get deeper spots that tend to leave pretty bad dark spots that take forever to fade even a little. This isn’t a super fast miracle worker, but I do feel like it helps.
I also think it helps active acne clear up a little faster. I use salicylic acid gel, which my skin likes more than benzoyl or sulfur products, but that still leaves me with pretty bad dry spots. I think this works slower, but I have way less dryness and irritation to deal with.
Overall, I think it’s a good, reasonably priced product (I got mine BOGO half off from Ulta), and I would definitely buy it again if I don’t find something that works better at a similar price point.

I still love my Paula’s Choice 8% AHA but decided to try this 5% alternative from Derma E as I find they make some good quality products at relatively affordable prices. As my skin is on the dry side, I like that this one includes moisturizing ingredients such as glycerin, jojoba oil and a few antioxidants. It’s not the strongest product out there but it does the trick for me. I use 1-2 times a week as recommended but you could probably use it more often if you prefer more frequent exfoliation.

I must say that the Derma E Overnight Peel is a nice, non-drying, mild exfoliating peel. This has a nice gel-lotion texture which works well with other products. I apply the Peel over my normal serum and then apply my thicker moisturizer over the Peel. In the morning my skin feels nice and fresh but never dry. I also PH tested this and it was right around 3.7ish which is a good level for exfoliation. I also really like the packaging, it is very nice to use products when they are in a pump bottle. Overall I found the Derma E Overnight Peel to be a nice (and affordable) option for an overnight exfoliating product. My video review can be seen here: 4

I wanted to try a chemical exfoliator to get rid of spots on my face. I apply this after a toner and it does sting a little bit but that feeling doesn’t last very long. When I first purchased this I used it 1-2 times a week but I didn’t feel it made much difference. I started wearing more sunscreen during the day and saw improvement in my spots after just a couple days, even when I wasn’t using this mask. So that gave me better results in a few days than this product did after a month. I don’t think this peel does anything for me, it probably gets soaked up into my pillow when I put it on at night. I guess I’ll use it up as not to waste, maybe mix it with other stuff, but I wouldn’t purchase again. The packaging is nice and when I’m done with it I’l probably clean it out to use as a travel bottle lol

I’ve been using this peel twice a week for two weeks now. I use it at night after cleansing my skin and applying toner, and I do not apply any moisturizer as I find this is moisturizing enough to use on its own. I have noticed my skin looking brighter and my acne scars are fading faster than they usually would (I have residual marks from a recent break out). My skin does look a bit red about an hour after applying it, but it’s fine in the morning and there is no stinging when applying (unless applying on a scratch or blemish). I was worried about this product breaking me out because it contains jojoba oil, but I was hoping the glycolic acid would counteract that and prevent breakouts. So far, so good, no break outs after using and my skin has been looking more even and bright the last week. I also started using the derma e evenly radiant night cream at the same time I started this product, so whether the peel is having a positive effect on my skin or the night cream (or both) is unknown. Either way I am happy with both products and with how my skin is looking and feeling since I started using them two weeks ago.

I have rolling acne scars on my cheeks (very shallow dents, kind of like potholes) and some nasty purple looking hyper pigmentation. After just ONE WEEK of using this every night, my hyper pigmentation is drastically lighter and my rolling acne scars are so much less noticeable. Like they’re barely there anymore! The dents on my face used to be noticeable in direct sunlight but now they barely show. I’m stoked because I thought the only solution to get rid of them was to get expensive laser treatments done.
The only con is, it makes my face look and feel very greasy immediately after application. Thank god it’s a night time use only product.
Also make sure you use sunscreen every single day once you start using this because it makes your skin more sensitive to sun.

Firstly, this thing stings! I’ve used another AHA of a higher percentage and it doesn’t sting as much as this. I thought it’d be more effective but nah. It makes my skin feel tacky when I wake up the next day. Shouldn’t the product be completely absorbed after 7 hours? I’ll give it a pass.
P/S: If you’re looking for an acid that will physically exfoliate and peel your skin, this product is not it.

Yes! Good Stuff. It smoothes my skin, reduces pigmentation, is not too strong so it can be used every day, decent price, good packaging. Nothing I can complain about really.
