I struggle with finding a good shade for bronzer because everything leans too warm. This is a great neutral shade on my skin without looking orange or too ashy grey. I love using this on my eyes too as an everyday eye-shadow. I am super impressed with the formula because it does not have too much kickup and blends seamlessly into the skin. I use the It Cosmetics French Boutique Blush Brush #4 with this bronzer. It lasts all day and looks natural. It is buildable and is fool proof as well. I love this shade and its actually my first Bobbi brown makeup ive tried and it def isn’t the last.
Ive tried :
Tom Ford Terra- dissapears midday. Cool toned but not worth the price
Marc Jacobs tantastic- hate the smell of floral coconuts,
too big to travel with and also dissapears midday. Sinkholes and not pressed correctly
Mac Bronzed bronzer – isn’t pigmented enough. Great color
Chanel bronze universal soleil tan – too warm/slightly orange but great formula.

The best bronzer I´ve ever tried out for my yellow light skin.
(Bobbi brown foundation in 2.5, even do it´s a tad darker)
– No shimmer, matte but not chalky
– Makes me look tan, no orange, mud or green undertone
– Doesn´t make me break out
– It´s pricey but lasts a lot
– Nice pigmentation, not so much it´s hard to blend
I apply it with a Estee Lauder big powder brush (discontinued) if I´m home or the Too Faced Retractable Kabuki Brush (hate the girly look on the packaging but a great all-over brush)

I love to use this bronzer to warm up my face and that’s the only thing I use it for. I’m NC 35-37 ish. To me it’s a warm brown bronzer. In the pan it does look like it has some red tones to it but it doesn’t show when applied. Sorry I don’t do so well when it comes to describing colors but I’ve added pictures of swatches.
My face is naturally darker than my neck so I like to match my foundation to my neck thus I lack warmth. So I use this bronzer in Stonestreet to give warmth back into my face so my face don’t look blah. After applied, my face looks more healthy and I look more awake. It gives me this sunkissed glow without looking fake. I use a fluffy powder brush like the RT powder brush or the Urban Studio powder brush I got from Tjmaxx. When I dip and swirl my brush onto the powder there is literally no kick up.
I wouldn’t recommend you use a dense brush when applying this and this is not made for contouring either since it’s more on the warm side.
And this shade is only available online and it’s a limited edition shade also. But no worries, BB have other shades too and it’s best to go and try it on since not all colors suit every skintone, that’s why she has more than 3 shades for this line of bronzer.
One thing is I just wish the packaging weren’t so bulky. I like the closing clasp you have to push to open it cause it makes it easier to open. I just wish the packaging weren’t so bulky. It’s more bulkier the the Lorac blushes.

Errr….this is orange…
So I’m NC15 natural redhead with neutral to cool skin tone. I typically wear Bobbi Brown bronzer in Natural. I got this because I thought it would be a cool toned bronzer but lighter than natural. I actually emailed Bobbi Brown about it and they told me, “Natural (a medium soft tan) is a unique cool toned brown shade and we do not have a lighter version of it currently. The next best option could be Stonestreet (a brown bronze) as this will be a softer tone and has a mix of both pinky and golden brown tones. Elvis Duran (a warm terracotta brown) will be darker compared to Natural.” Also, I find Golden Bronze (the lightest shade) to be very orange on me.
So I ordered this hoping it would work. I got it and swatched it. It’s so orange. I wore it to work. I was told it looked ok but not good, not like I need to go take it off, but that it’s definitely orange.
Color aside, this is a beautiful formula. It lasts forever. It’s so pigmented. I’ve had my bronzer in Natural for two years and I don’t have a dent in it. I have to use a very light hand. Even with the light hand, I looked orange. I love everything but the color. I hate docking lippies for the shade but it’s not 5 lippie for me because of the shade so I gave it 4. I really really wanted it to work for me.
Edit 04/12/2017. So now I’m changing my mind. I want to give this another go. I switched up my brush and application technique. I used the Bobbi Brown Face Blender instead of Bobbi Brown blush brush (I know, weird brush to have used but it’s big and fluffy). The face blender is much more delicate and gives a softer, more diffused application. The blush brush was more targeted and dense. I think I was brontouring too much. I did a more classic bronzer application keeping it higher on the face and softer, broader application. And then I went shopping. The lady at the Bobbi Brown counter said it looked perfect. An MA I’ve gotten to know at Sephora said it looked perfect. I liked it. Lesson, when using real bronzers, don’t apply like a contour powder. Natural is so Brown I can brontour with it and almost full on contour and it’s great. But Stonestreet is a true bronzer and needs to be applied like one to be appreciated. So also, I swatched half of Sephora on my arm to compare. Marc Jacobs contour duo in 02, the contour is slightly pinker and darker. MUFE pro fusion number 20M is similar. Laura Mercier bronzer in 03 is warmer but close. Too Faced Milk Chocolate looks baby poopy yellow brown next to this. I need to try physicals formula butter bronzer in the darker color. I think it will be more similar to BB Natural and better as a brontour than a true bronzer. I think contouring is so big that we forget how to bronzer and forget the difference so I think bronzers that aren’t quite contours are really popular. Just a theory I have…

So I am an NC15 in MAC and quite pale, and this bronzing powder is a dream!
It is hard to find a natural bronzer for pale skin with the right amount of warmth but not orange. This is a cooler toned bronzer and no matter how much you use it will never look orange. Its the type of bronzer that is impossible to over do which I love when I’m in a rush. I can dust this everywhere and not worry about it. You can build it up easily and it blends really nicely and looks really natural.
The most similar colour I can think of is Terra from Tom Ford which is also a cool bronzer. The Bobbi Brown one was less than half the price and although TF products blends like an absolute dream, for the cash it isn’t worth it. Another similar one (although warmer) is Hoola from benefit, but I’ve found that Hoola is so hard to blend and isn’t as finely milled, so it can have a tendency to look a bit muddy.
It’s all about the blending for a natural look!
Recommend this bronzer to any fair person who wants something natural, buildable and nothing ridiculously expensive.
