It is a very elegant, beautifully coloured dense-looking product in a dark and expensive jar.
It has an exceptionally pleasant fragrance of natural rose oil (Rosa Damascena Flower Oil) blended with a bit of fragrance components that beautifully enhance the rose fragrance.
And this is where the good part ends unfortunately.
The product (albeit very nice to look at) lacks oils that could moisturize the skin. It also lacks humectants in a larger amount that would contribute to (lasting) hydration.
Although the product is based mainly on shea butter, emulsifiers and thickeners of natural origin, it feels somewhat dry and definitely not hydrating after 10-15 minutes. There should not be a reason to layer this with another moisturiser since it is a moisturiser (or should be moisturising).
Why I do not see whom this product will be right for, is that it is to dense and heavy feeling for a combination/oily skin type (even in the colder months), it is definitely not moisturising for someone with dryer skin.
Where the problem actually lies is the inclusion of a very nice oil-absorbing powder (Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol Crosspolymer). This will make the product appear beautifully dense and less oily at application at sampling at the store, it will also absorb the oils (and butters) in the product, not to mention your natural sebum too,
It should have either contain lighter oils and the oil-absorbing powder, aiming at combination skin or the oil-absorbing powder should have been left out and the product should have been aimed at more mature consumers and/or dryer skin-types.
