This hand cream STINKS. So high perfumed. The scent is definitely NOT rose at all. Also, very greasy. Horrible. Will not repurchase.

I love all that is rose and this hand cream is very nice, creamy and not greasy, but the smell is gross and sweet. No rose to be found.

If you spot this and you like hand cream, buy two. I am already kicking myself for not getting more. It comes in and out of stock at TJ. I love L’Occitane hand creams, especially Arlesienne (sp?), but I feel that $12 for 1 ounce is too steep, especially because between living in a dry climate and washing my hands a lot, I go through a tube in just a few weeks. TJ’s rose and ultra moisturizing hand creams are just as good to me, and at $5 for 3 ounces, much more palatable. If you don’t like rose scents, then obviously you won’t like the scent of this and should get the plain cream, but I do not find it to be that overpowering “old lady” cheap rose fragrance. There is really nothing bad to say about this product, in my opinion, and I am surprised by the poor ratings.

Reeks of artificial roses and never, ever sinks in enough to actually be moisturizing. Very disappointing.

This may be the best hand cream I’ve ever used! Surprised that this hand cream only got a 1 lippie rating from another reviewer. To each their own I guess!
Trader Joe’s Rose Oil Hand Cream has a wonderful texture that is thick and sumptuous, but never greasy. So many other “moisturizing” hand creams make my hands feel like they’re covered in lard, wax, or petroleum jelly. Not a good feeling. I’m really picky about textures, so I typically end up washing hand cream off if they’re too thick. This TJ’s cream feels wonderful on my hands, and doesn’t send me running off to the bathroom to wash it off lol.
It also doesn’t evaporate on contact, like so many other creams I’ve tried (Jergens and the like). I suspect those have a high amount of alcohol in them? Or water? Not sure.
The scent is not your typical rose scent that so often gets a bad rap for being an “old lady” scent. This one has hints of something else…apricot? Peach perhaps? Either way, I love how it smells.
EDIT: my boyfriend figured out what the elusive scent is lol: he goes “mmmmm you smell just like a lychee!” 😛

The smell of this was so strong and horrific that I couldn’t bear to keep it on. Surprise! The smells lingers forever!
