The current version of this product is actually a reformulation. Best I can tell, Dr. Jart changed from having tiger grass water as the third ingredient to tiger grass extract which is now the last ingredient. And they added vinyl dimethicone, whereas the original formula was ‘cone free. The original formula, which I’ve been fortunate enough to find (3 tubes that expire in 2022) at TJ Max and Marshall’s, is hands down the best cream I’ve ever used. The BEST. I’m 40 with normal-dry skin. I’ve been using tretinoin for 6 years, I have regular chemical peels and use vitamin c+AHA serum. So my skin barrier is always a bit compromised and my skin isn’t as tolerant at it once was. If I don’t keep moisturized and hydrated throughout the day, my skin can get sallow, crepe-y and thirsty looking. I typically use oils to moisturize and have been for close to 15 years. I typically stay away from creams, with few exceptions. Creams are always too greasy, too rubbery, too filmy, too stinky, etc for my preferences. The original Cicapair cream leaves my skin baby soft for hours and hours, even when my skin is at its driest. It takes away that tight, irritated feeling and keeps it away. I think it’s the film forming agents used in the formula, the polyacrylates. It’s not tacky or sticky like oil/petroleum-based, and not rubbery and artificial feeling like silicones. The after feel is very smooth but also soft and very natural, and the occlusive properties are long lasting, hours and hours. I’ve never had a cream perform this way before.
It doesn’t sting or sensitize my skin, which almost always happens when I use products with essential oils. t’s perfect. I never thought I would prefer a cream over an oil, but I’m finding I’m reaching for my oils less and less because this cream really soothes, plumps and moisturizes, and it forms a nice undetectable protective barrier with great longevity. I could see it being useful for a myriad of issues, although of course YMMV. And also finding it is going to get harder and harder. I hate that they reformulated it. I have no plans to try the new version, I hate silicones.

The entire Tiger Grass line is complete BS. Contains loads of irritating fragrances that will leave your face red and burned.
The serums, creams.. everything has left me with raw, burning red skin.
This cream specifically made my face bright red and very irritated.
DR. JART ALSO PAYS PEOPLE TO MAKE FAKE REVIEWS ON SEPHORA AND PAYS SEPHORA TO REMOVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. ALL OF MY DR.JART REVIEWS HAVE BEEN REMOVED.
This line is a joke.

I’ve been having a very stubborn patch of dry skin above my lip that comes and goes mainly because of the cold weather. Last time when this happened to me, nothing I applied made it disappear. It only disappeared when I went on a trip to South East Asia lol. The humidity over there must’ve helped.
The dry patch came back a couple of weeks ago and so I applied some of Weleda Skin Food on it, something I purchased a few months back after hearing lots of great things about it. It sort of helped with the dry patch, but not completely. Then I get a sample of this cream from Sephora earlier this week and I thought, what the heck lol it’s supposed to be good at calming irritated and inflamed skin (which is what my dry patch seems to be like because it’s very tender to touch as well). And it worked really well!! Less than a week later, the dry patch seems to be 98% gone, but I’m still applying this on for good measure.
Would I purchase a full size though? Honestly, I don’t know. Probably not. I tried to see if I’d like us as an all over face cream, and I can’t say that I do because it’s too thick for the rest of my face. It absorbed a little… a lot better than I’d expect for such a thick product. But the consistency is not to my preference when it comes to face moisturisers. The full size comes in such a big tube too and knowing that I’ll likely only use it in days when I have stubborn dry patches (which isn’t often tbh), not worth the price. Especially seeing how pricey it actually is lol. But you never know, I might get desperate during my dry skin days in the future and actually feel the need to purchase this.

Love, love, love this stuff! I have sensitive, reactive skin that can go awry due to stress, changes in weather, if I look at a chocolate bar, etc. this stuff has gotten my skin back on track time and time again. It soothes without being overly oily and my skin isn’t dry, more normal to combo with a slightly oily t-zone. It wears well for me under make-up but I do allow at least 5 minutes to absorb, after applying before I use my primer and then my foundation. Wonderful product, I can’t imagine ever being without.

I have been struggling with acne and redness for the last few months as a result of getting too aggressive with acids and retinol and destroying my skin barrier. I’ve been slathering on layers hyaluronic acid, moisturisers and oils like no tomorrow but I still wake up/end the day with a tight face and flaky skin. I saw the Dr Jart Tiger Grass cream reviewed on Caroline Hirons blog and thought why not!
I put this cream on at night after spritzing and applying some HA. It has an interesting smell – quite herby and medicinal but I like it, and is pale green in colour. Its very thick but non-greasy, and can leave the skin a little tacky but it does absorb reasonably quickly considering its texture. Best applied at night but I have worn this under makeup and it was absolutely fine. For the first time in weeks I woke up with plump hydrated skin and next to no redness. The redness around my healing had acne had decreased by at least 75% in one night! Adding this one product into my routine has made more difference than any other product, so although this is expensive it is 100% worth it. Once my skin heals I plan to use this occasionally as a kind of ’emergency’ recovery cream when my skin is damaged, so I think it will last a long time.
Also a side note – the packaging is great – air tight and opaque and it also comes with a metal key to wind the end of the tube around and push the product down.

Dr. Jart never disappoints! I recently purchased the cream and the serum, both of which I highly recommend.
Over the past month my face went through a tough phase. As the weather got cooler in November, I noticed more visible dryness and a lot of sudden acne. Probably hormonal, as that is usually the case. I treated the acne with various topical products that I normally use, which helped. I continued to mosturize as usual and it was not enough. My skin felt uncomfortably tight. It was peeling in areas around the mouth and chin. Just a mess!
After using the serum alone for one day, my face bounced back. The texture is smooth and plump again. Redness has been greatly reduced. I immediately purchased the cream, as well.
Sometimes I layer them together. Especially at night. Either product can go underneath foundation/BB (Nars, for me) well. But as with most products, you must allow them to absorb before you apply the base. There is a light medicinal smell, but it’s not unpleasant.

Please note, I tried to Sephora version- not the Korean one (which I hope to try soon and compare!)
As someone with sensitive and dry skin, this product seems like it was made for me.
Especially as I’m fairly recent convert to the prodigious world of K-Beauty. This one had been on my ‘must tr’y list for ages- the ingredients sounded awesome (In fact, there is some evidence that Centella Asiatica may actually be effective at calming skin and healing woulds- though isolated forms, such as asiaticoside and Madecassoside are far more effective still. Shocking, I know) and I was also wanting something which stepped up the moisture. I know that Dr Jart+ has a great reputation for high quality skincare and loads of devotees, so I wanted to try something from the brand.
I got a sample of this from Sephora and was immediately impressed. After finishing the sample, I quickly went to purchase the full size tube… and then another, when that run out 🙂 I do love that it comes in a tube- very hygienic and means that minimal amounts of product are wasted.
It has a very thick, creamy-gel like texture; pale green colour and rather strong, medicinal scent- which is actually not unpleasant and dissipates quickly enough.
I’ve found that this works best on either bare skin (quite surprising for a K-Beauty product- I suspect a lot of folks are using this as step 3 or 4 in their routines) or layered over just one product. I’ve found that it does not absorb as well if I layer this over other somewhat thick, gel-like products: then, it leaves my skin very, very sticky and not feeling moisturised at all. On it’s own (or layered over just toner) it absorbs wonderfully and leaves my skin baby-soft and plump.
This leads me to the one drawback (for me, at least): it does produce a somewhat tight, dry feeling on my skin- like my skin is still needing an extra dose of moisture. Not always. but probably three quarters of the time. I will then usually add another moisturiser or sleeping pack over the top, which seems to do the trick. I don’t think that this is a problem with the cream itself- it’s just my dry skin needing extra attention.
As for it’s soothing and healing abilities…. I have noticed a slight reduction in redness in my skin and when I get a little blemish, it does not seems any where near as red and irritated as is usually the case. I’ve also found that wounds (needle marks from Botox- LOL) seem to heal a little bit quicker and are less inflamed. So yeah, does not irritate my sensitive skin or cause break outs.
Overall I’d really recommend this cream to people with sensitive skin, which is on the dry side.

Mine is the Korean version not the Sephora version. As I read in the description when I purchased this on eBay. I love this cream I bought it because I had really bad skin barrier issues around my nose from a cold and from too much alpha hydroxy acid. So my skin needed some repairs as it was so red and reactive. Also the ingredients sounded so good with all the vitamins and minerals for the skin I wanted to try this. So happy I did because it repaired my peeling red nose and red skin around it in 3 days. Now I always use this in my skincare ritual as my last serum per say.
I do my skincare in order of thin to thick and this falls somewhere near the middle end depending on what I’m putting on. I use this both morning and night also as a spot treatment for dry patches. I love the scent it’s light green in colour and it comes with one of those metal tube squeezers which is a nice bonus. I love the scent it’s medicinal but fresh I actually really like it. I love how well it has repaired my skin for the better. It’s not as red and blotchy any more either which is something I struggle with. I will continue buying this as it really works and it doesn’t feel heavy at all it just makes my skin feel soft and protected.
This is a lovely product that does what it says. I haven’t read the differences in the one Sephora sells verse the one from Korea but I’m sticking with the Asian version as its working so well plus the price is a little lower as well. Also this will last me for quite a long time as a little goes a very long way with this cream. Plus with the product squeezer you don’t waste anything. I’m really happy with this cream! Recommended.

I was recommended this products by the skincare girl at my local S. store. I did not read the label carefully. I found out later that it only help redness that caused by dry skin. I have oily skin, my redness is from my cystic acnes so the product didn’t do anything for me anything for me, at all. Im sure of it because I use the entire tube. The consistency is very very thick almost feel like a mask. Definitely not for oily skin girl during summer time.

This is one of the best moisturizers I’ve ever used for my dry Minnesota-winter skin. This is a very thick, rich cream but it works wonders on my dry skin. I also really like that there is no fragrance. The packaging is wonderful as well. It makes it very easy to get even the last few drops of product out. I highly recommend! My more detailed review video is below.
