I’m a fan. A True Red, that dries hard and crisp (not too thick) and seems to never gum up in the bottle.
Sometimes I feel like it could be TOO thin, but the pigment is strong and doesn’t streak so what the hell…
Lasting-power wise it is above average, but still not as good as some of my Sinful range babies. Just under a week though, which isn’t bad considering.

Such a good drugstore find. Very pretty medium-dark true red. Last all week and goes on smoothly. Couldn’t ask for more.

Amazing quality, colour and price. Only problem is I saw almost all this nail polishes have broken cap. It is not big deal, but just something I notices.
Have red carpet, johnny depp and nails on fire. Will buy more shades soon. Recomendations

I can’t recall how my nails look without polish. I always loved to paint them for hiding all the flaws and focusing the attention on the colour rather than my short little fat fingers. Red has always been my first choice (except high school were black was a daily must), usually classic-bright reds. Some years ago I developed a taste for dark red/wine nails, but I always had troubles in finding a decent shade. They all apply so bad it’s stressful, you never know what you get (it happens with dark red lippies as well), you have to paint them like 4 times before getting an uniform colour. So, I went back to bright reds, as they’re so easy to do and you don’t have to be anxious of the result. Until, as a random choice, I found this Catrice’s polish.
I have mixed opinions about Catrice: I used their velvet something foundation for about a year and worked well until it hit the half of the bottle; it instantly oxidized literally inside the bottle. Their lipsticks were a big big big letdown. Their contouring duo, on the other hand, was quite good, the highlighter rocked, the bronzer was a tad too dark but there were no other brand choices avaiable in that version. I’d love to try the camouflage cream but I never happen to find it in the local Catrice’s counters. Anyway, I had some spare coins and got this for only 3 euros. The bottle has a generous quantity in it, 10 ml/0.33 floz. First time I got shade 93 Red Night Mystery (it isn’t shown on the website I don’t know why) and felt pretty good about it, the colour wasn’t still perfect but the consistency was all I was asking for. The brush was confortable as well. Then, a month later, I got Caught on the red carpet and damn, I have found my favourite polish.
So, it has two components that work wonders for my needs: the brush it quite large, the bristles are strong enough and really helps spreading homogeneously the colour, without strikes and discolorations. The polish itself is kind of creamy, doesn’t dry in the bottle (Red night mystery has been open for 2 months and still goes perfectly) and covers everything. The colour is a tad lighter than Red night mystery but gives hand a chic look with no effort.
I definitely recommend it. For the price, I dare you to find anything better in a such difficult shade to apply. Essence’s dark red isn’t as red as this, and the cream is still too thick to be well spreaded, and I thought it was the only dark red polish I could rely on without *big* complaints. This one is straight perfect!
