not pigmented. barely any color. took too many strokes. the brush is too big and messy to use. the product has 4 types of Parabens preservatives. nope. i prefer Dior brow gel.

If you have the other ABH products in “Granite”, do not expect this to be the same ashy greyblack as brow wiz and brow powder duo. This gel is a browngrey color, and the sole reason I wont repurchase.
The reason I gave it three lippies is that I really like the hold and the brush is nice too, very soft and big, but I seem to be in the minority when it comes to liking the size of the brush.

I love this stuff!!!! I have medium-dark brown hair and it is a nice cool brown without being too dark. I like to use it to set after using other product to fill in my brows OR to fill in my brows in one quick step if I’m in a rush.
If you have already filled in your brows this product takes literally 2 seconds to put overtop to secure everything.
If you are using it alone to fill in and set your brows it takes more like 3 seconds because I usually use the brush to fill in my brows and then use a q-tip to remove where I’ve overdrawn and the brush isn’t super precise.
It lasts allllll day even in wet conditions. It doesn’t make your brows feel super stiff either. This is a HG product for me!

I straight up hate this brow gel. Wore Espresso to an indoor concert and it disappeared.
The formula is too opaque with shimmery red pigments, creates crunchy hair texture and is not long lasting. I have thin brows, black hair, combo oily skin. While this did make my brows appear thicker irl for a moment after application, under flash and bright lighting reveals my thin hairs b/c of the shimmery pigments. It did not set the brow pencil. The applicator is also unnecessarily thick that it causes a messy application. When I had lv 8 bleached hair and used the blonde shade. This was great at tinting but with the feel of crispy hair in place. Product is not versatile or long wearing. Will not recommend to anyone.

I love this brow gel. I recently upgraded to Anastasia from Maybelline. I almost bought Benefit’s Gimme Brow, but Benefit has a kind of nebulous animal testing policy, and Anastasia is cruelty free. I want gorgeous brows, but no bunnies need suffer for them. I’ve been growing my brows out since some unfortunate overplucking that I committed way back in the ’90s and ’00s. I still have a few spots that need fattening up, but I want a natural look. I also don’t want to deal with pencils or powders. Anastasia of Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel is just what I need. It fattens up my brows, it sets them in place, and it enhances the color. I’m a brunette, and my brows are dark brown, almost black. I chose Granite after asking the lovely ladies at Ulta, and it matches perfectly. I’m always afraid of having weird, fake looking brows, but Anastasia gel makes them look fuller and neater but still natural. There are, however, a few minor negatives. This gel is rather expensive. Also, it will make a mess of your face if you don’t wipe the brush on a tissue first, and you may still need to clean up a little with a damp cotton swab. I don’t see these as real problems, though, because my brows look totally gorgeous.

This is the first brow product that I have tried from Anastasia and on this experience I don’t think I’ll be trying anything else.
1. Colour: I am going to start with the positives, the colour. For blonde girls who like a dark ashy brown colour in their brows this is great. It has a grey undertone but is brown, so no hints of warmth at all. It is more cool toned that Benefit Gimme Brow in Dark, although that is still not extremely warm. This colour is by far my favourite colour that I have used. Buttt…..
2. Formula: The formula is so wet, its very liquid-y. This means it gets all over your skin when you are doing your brows and then you have to clean up the mess which spoils allthe base work you have done. At the front of your brows it grabs to the pale skin that is naturally there where you brows start to stop, and it makes the colour look very patchy. I thought that it would dry over time, but it hasn’t made a considerable difference. You have to be super careful with the application or you will ruin the brows and the base underneath.
3. Applicator: The brush is so bad, it makes applying the wet formula even harder. It is massive, about 5 times bigger than the Benefit Gimme Brow wand (which is the best in my opinion). I have very big brows naturally, and this is way to big even for me, so I can imagine that it would be very hard for people without a lot of brow hair. The applicator also has no grip, so it goes over the brows rather than through the hairs to coat the individual hairs with colour. In comparison, the Gimme Brow brush moves through the hairs to coat the hair, rather than sitting on top and looking like fake colour on top.
Overall this isn’t a good product, and I would not recommend.

This is the first brow gel I have ever used. I was first introduced to this product at a Sephora store because I just recently received a Sephora GC and I didn’t know what to spend it on so I asked one of the sales associate to help me choose which brow product would suit me best (not that I need any help in that department because I think my brows are pretty full, not to be full of myself =p). The SA suggested for me to try a brow gel since my brows are pretty full, pencil or promade would work against me so I was like “Cool! Let’s do this”. It comes in a mascara tube but it’s brow gel with a mascara wand (brow gel, again). The shade is in “Granite”. It’s a pretty shimmery brown-greenish colour but it goes on and payoff is matte and it lasts all day long!
The big FAT CON > It’s $24-$29, kinda pricey for something to fill in the brows with when I can just use mascara with a light hand -.-

I’m dying to finish this brow gel so I can buy a different one or go back to the maybelline brow drama gel that I really really enjoyed.
First off the shade is good. I am fair skinned with medium brown hair, somewhat warm. My eyebrows are soft black. Granite has enough of an ashen tone to not be obvious brown, but it isn’t so dark that I look strange. A+ for the color
I HATE the applicator. It is huge, and the tube does not do a good job of cleaning off the bristles as I pull the wand out. I have to take an extra minute to wipe off the applicator otherwise I end up with big globs of gel in my brows. The formula is also super wet- so combing it through to sheer it out makes random streaks appear in my brow line and sometimes causes shadows that look like I have two eyebrow tails.
It’s just really annoying and I never had this problem with maybelline or benefit gimme brow. The formula for those two isn’t as wet, the wands are smaller and the tube cleans off the bristles better as you pull the applicator out.
Also why is the Anastasia gel shimmery? I don’t need my shimmer in my brows. It doesn’t help that the formula is also quite opaque so I have to do a lot of combing through to get a natural look.
My eyebrows are thick. They naturally grow in a caterpillar shape, but I keep them pretty well arched. I use gel to hold them in place and also to fill in some random gaps– there aren’t too many. Maybe someone with sparser brows would benefit from this more but I don’t see how bc the wand is just so messy.
One thing in its favor is this truly is the never ending tube. I’ve been using it daily for a year and I swear it’s still half full. It isn’t so bad that I want to toss it but I cannot wait to use it up either.

My hair is naturally ash blonde (5 inches of very noticeable roots due to overdone highlights in July 2015) with varying colors of lighter blond highlights throughout. But I have dark eyebrows that I do not bleach. I have thick eyebrows with long hairs that grow quickly. So a brow gel is a must for me even on days when I wear minimal makeup (I’m almost 47 so I don’t leave the house without any makeup) I originally tried this in blonde and it was too light. I also tried Gimme Brow by Benefit. The lighter color was much too light, and the darker one was much too dark. This is also too dark, but I use it sparingly and it blends well. It flakes, so that’s obviously not a positive. So this is the best one I’ve tried, but it’s definitely not HG.

This product is the bomb!
At Sephora I asked them to apply it so I could pick up some tips. They recommended a color that was too brown–as I get older the reddish undertone is fading while black is taking over (so strange!). I went with Granite and I am so so happy.
My makeup has never looked more groomed and polished! (See also my review of NARS Pro Light-Optimizing Primer.) Three friends plus my eyebrow aesthetician all have wanted to know my secret, I’m all about sharing makeup “secrets.”
Fan girl!
