Holy wow do I love this scent. When it first came out I gave it a quick sniff and then discounted it immediately. At the time I was more into deeper and spicier type scents. Now that it is summertime, and soul crushingly hot down here in Texas, I wanted something light and pretty and this is just the ticket. I am very sensitive to scent and find many fragrances overwhelmingly sweet and cloying, but butterfly flower has some green notes to it that tone down the floral notes. I can smell just a hint of banana. This scent smells more “real” to me than many of BBW’s other scents. By “real” I mean less artificial and more like I am standing in the Dallas Botanical Gardens early in the morning while the sun is rising. The shower gel smells slightly more green to me and less floral than the lotion and splash but they all compliment one another nicely.

At first, I liked it. Initially it smelled nice and refreshing, like a blooming garden of flowers in the spring. After about the third use, it just smelled like BANANAS! Just plain bananas, nothing else. I mean, I like bananas and all, but I don’t necessarily want to smell like one.

Re-writing this review because I’ve fallen in love with this shower gel. When I first tried it I had a cold so I really couldn’t smell it all that well. To me it really does smell like a full garden in bloom… floral, green, and lush. Absolutely gorgeous. I have the body spray and am wanting the body lotion and the perfume.
