I detected no carnation scent at all in this fragrance. For a great carnation scent try Caron’s Bellodgia. It is vastly better than Oeillet Sauvage. OS smells like very sweet vanilla to me – like some kind of weird ice cream cone. Not at all for me, and I love other L’Artisan fragrances.

Sweet, powdery carnation. Maybe a bit one-dimensional for me — it lacks those tantalizing what-IS-that hints of other notes that make other L’Artisan fragrances so memorable. Very natural smelling, though. I might buy a small bottle for when I feel like wearing carnation, but it’s not a HG. My husband just asked, “New soap?”
