This is a very rich, luxurious wet cloth cleanser which can remove all make-up including eye make-up. I love it but find it a bit too rich to use every day so I use it 2 or 3 times a week. Used this way it does not bother my slightly problematic skin. It is expensive so I usually only buy it as part of a set. The pump delivery is very hygienic. UPDATE: I had to stop using it as my skin was playing up and it’s now quite sensitive. I’ve since gradually changed most of my skincare products and simplified my cleansing and beauty regime. I tried to reintroduce this cleanser to my routine but no, it still brings me out in spots so unfortunately I’m having to ditch it for good.

I’ve used this for a few years as my PM cleanser, alternating with Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. It removes full makeup – even long-wearing products – and leaves my skin smooth, clean and extremely soft. For universal appeal, the Elemis version has the edge over the LE because it can be used directly over eyelids and doesn’t have potentially irritating essential oils. Personally, I also prefer its more subtle smell over that of the eucalyptus-infused LE. That said, it’s also a lot pricier than LE (approximately £29 per 150ml pump, compared with LE’s £14 per 100ml pump). And both do an equally great job of deep cleansing and nourishing the skin.
If I’m cleansing my bare face, I tend to smooth it on dry skin, massage it in for a minute or so and then wipe off with a comfortably hot, damp muslin cloth. However, if I’m wearing makeup, I find it works better to splash my face with a little water first. I find that the product spreads more easily, and I also heard on a TV demo the therapist saying that using on a damp face allows for more of a deep cleanse.
This is currently one of my top 3 hot cloth cleansers – and I’ve tried a lot! Along with this, and the LE, I’d also recommend Soap and Glory’s Fab Pore cleanser (which has some similar ingredients, and gives equally great results.) However, for sensitive skin and/or eyes, it has to be Pro-Radiance cream cleanser.
