I have tried so many foundations even the top notch one like La mer, dior, bobbi brown, chanel, estee lauder, mac, MUFE, laura mecier, and nars. For reference my skin is yellow toned nc42 i tried Jane iredale in golden glow, Bare escentuals mixed with golden medium and medium beige to get the correct color…nothing compares to THIS AFTER GLOW FOUNDATION! i got it in the color honey. It does not look like i am wearing makeup. It enhances my natural beauty. My skin is sensitive so this works just great and gives my skin a nice glow. DEFINITELY GOING TO PURCHASE more items from them! i already own 4 eyeshadows and got the bronzer in the color deep.

I just joined makupalley about a month ago, so really enjoying the reviews on here. Having said that, I wish I had signed up and checked on here prior to purchasing the afterglow foundation. I had heard great reviews about it on different beauty forums as well as on youtube. Plus I was really excited that their foundation was paraben, fragrance and gluten free—all criteria that are on the top of my list when it comes to anything that comes in contact with my skin.
I do have sensitive, acne prone skin to note.
I loved the way the foundation blended into my skin, or at least initially. As others noted it will cling to dry spots on the face. My closest color much was a tinge to yellow, but overall it didn’t bother me too much since it blended so well. I really thought I found a reliable foundation. However, about two hours into wearing it, my face really started to itch, to the point that I had to wash it off! By the next day I had new breakouts and rashes, at this point nothing changed in my routine.
However, since it was around that time of the month, I was hoping my skin was just out of wack so I waited for time to pass and my skin to clear up.
Tried it again and same results! What a disappointment! The company does offer a money back guarantee, so I guess that made up for some of the disappointment.
Also, it is $32 for a 10g jar. I know that sounds expensive initially. But that amount will last you a very long time. I think I squealed at the price at first because I had to order 3 jars for color matching, as they don’t offer samples.
I didn’t rate this product with a one because for my mom, it actually works pretty well. She has normal skin, a few pigmentation issues, but no acne breakouts and very little sensitivity.
Hope this helps someone! Still hunting for a great foundation :/
