   This shampoo was not for me. While it smelled very pleasant, it laters extremely minimally and I found I had to use a lot of product to cover my whole head. I also don’t have the patience the really work in the product. I find that with more traditional shampoos they leather up nice and its much more slippery and easy to move the hair around with your hands. I would recommend people try a sample of this before they buy such an expensive shampoo.

   Thank goodness this shampoo exists!

   I have dry, easily irritable scalp that could use some exfoliation from time to time. I guess being a professional swimmer, who spends every other day in chlorine, I need something that gently removes dead skin cells and also nourishes my scalp at the same time. This shampoo is exactly it.

   I like that this is a safe, clean product with lots of hair benefits. It smells a bit like mint chocolate, but doesn’t feel abrasive or scratchy even on the most sensitive scalp. I find that using it at least once a week helped me a lot! It rinses off easily and exfoliating bits in it are plant-based, so there is no harm caused to your skin barrier.    EDIT: Well, I tried using less, with good results, so I upped my review. I still think it’s overpriced, but it’s really helped my scalp/folliculitis without ruining my hair, so I’ve actually bought it again. Please take the time to massage into your scalp, as it leaves my scalp feeling wonderful.

   (1st Review): Really liked it, but super expensive. I was hoping maybe it wouldn’t take much product, but you need a lot. I know people complain about this type of packaging, but it’s my favorite – no waste

   Surprised at how well this cleaned my scalp. It calmed my itchy and irritated scalp (it is very cooling). Will definitely be repurchasing. Did not have to use a conditioner.

   Rich and creamy sulphate free shampoo, with tiny beads to gently massage your scalp, and a fresh peppermint scent. I’ve read that peppermint oil is good for treating thinning hair / hair loss which is why its often included in high end hair shampoos. Being sulfate free, its tempting to use more to get up a foam but it won’t happen. You’ll just over-cleanse your scalp. I just use a normal amount and find it gets my hair light and clean, feeling fresh, and also soothes my itchy scalp (I have allergies). The little beads quickly dissolve so none get caught up in my long hair and it rinses just as easily as any other shampoo. Does not irritate my sensitive scalp. Does not dry out my fine curly long hair. I’d consider purchasing again.

   Tried out the small travel size, and my first thought is that it’s definitely not worth the price. It’s sulfate free, which is a good thing, but because of that, it doesn’t lather well at all and I ended up having to use around 3 times the amount of shampoo I normally use. It sounds like an exaggeration, but it’s really not.

   I have relatively healthy hair that’s prone to an itchy and oily scalp, but even this is too drying for me. I didn’t like the texture of my hair after using this shampoo, it felt uncharacteristically like straw and was very stiff. My hair didn’t really feel very clean either despite how dry it felt because since it didn’t lather well, I couldn’t tell if it had covered my entire scalp. It did help with the itch somewhat though but not completely, and I did find that my scalp didn’t get greasy as quickly.

   I give it kudos for being an organic brand with a great ingredients list but I don’t think I’d recommend this, there are better exfoliating/detoxifying shampoos out there. I wouldn’t repurchase it either.

   I bought the small size from Sephora on a lark and I’m so glad I did. It feels amazing on the scalp — think minty tingling — and despite the fact the shampoo is a gritty grey cream that doesn’t really lather, my hair feels so freaking clean and soft afterwards. I like to use it to scrub my scalp and clarify my hair when I’ve used dry shampoo for 2-3 days in a row, which my hair seems to love but my scalp isn’t so sure.

   The mini is $11 for a 1 ounce plastic jar at Sephora.

   I just bought this product for the third time and it’s amazing.

   Pro:
   – Easy to use
   – Smells great
   – Give incredible body to your hair

   Cons:
   – it’s expensive (but worth it)

   Loving this! Sometimes my diet veers badly off course and my scalp is the first to complain! (dandruff, psoriasis). It can take up to a week of eliminating dairy products from my diet before it settles back down. In the meantime this is a product that helps speed-up the process very effectively! In just a couple of uses I can feel the difference in my scalp, especially when combing through my hair there is much less scaling.

   This smells like mint chocolate. I was very surprised as I really didn’t expect something with charcoal and tea tree in it to smell so good! It is a grey color – due to the charcoal, but it lathers into a white foam. I use it on wet hair and massage it into my scalp for a couple of minutes, rinse and then repeat but the second time around I let it sit whilst I carry on with the rest of my shower routine for a few minutes. I then rinse this out.

   Now a word of caution: this will make your scalp feel like it’s having an out-of-body-experience!! Especially the first few times you use it and if you apply as vigorously as I did the first time. It’s all the stimulating essential oils in there. But seriously I actually had to step out of the shower to check my scalp was still there. It felt like waves of ice cold water were being thrown on it. An interesting sensation and one which in a strange way I actually enjoyed! Depending upon how sensitive your scalp is or isn’t, you may or may not experience this.

   For reference I don’t tend to use a conditioner afterwards when using Scalp Revival as I let my scalp ‘breathe’ and the product to take full effect. Once my hair has dried I use the Charcoal + tea tree scalp treatment. This combination works great for me.

   I’m a big believer in charcoal for many uses, especially detoxifying, and I use pure organic charcoal powder to brush my teeth with every morning (an instant whitener, try it and see for yourself!)

    This has to be the most expensive shampoo I have ever bought, but I did so because I am basically addicted to Head&Shoulders shampoos and have been so since my teens. If I go for more than a week without a Head&Shoulder wash, my scalp is dry, itchy and full of flakes. When I first moved to Japan, more than 20 years ago, I would stock up in Head&Shoulders shampoos whenever I traveled abroad, before I realized that the geniuses at P&G were actually selling it here, but under the brand name Head Spa. I tried to contacting the P&G customer service here in both Japanese and English, with no success. Great products, lousy staff. So having heard reviewers rave about a natural shampoo that achieves the same results, I just had to try it. It smells nice, but I feel like it really dries my hair out. Nothing a good hair pack can`t fix, but to be safe, I wouldn`t use it more than once a month. The product is really watery, minty smelling and feels nice on the scalp. It doesn`t foam a lot, so I feel like perhaps I am using too much to get my scalp cleaned?! I don`t know, but if I were to use it more often, I would use a jar up rather quickly. I don`t think I would repurchase, because it`s really expensive (58 bucks on Beautybay), and I much prefer my experience with Chronologist from Kerastase. That is cheaper, smells really great and exfoliates without drying out. If the Briogeo shampoo works as well as Head&Shoulders to help stabilize my scalp, I can`t really say, because I don`t use it all that often (too drying and too expensive). I`ve been looking for a good replacement for Head&Shoulders, because I really hate P&G, but so far, no luck. If you know anything, please shoot me a message here. Thanks.
