When I sniffed this in the store, it smelled really good to me–like flowers and gentle musk. In the shower, it’s a different story. I find it too strong–almost headache-inducing.I also find that it doesn’t rinse cleanly. Worst of all, it makes my dry upper arms and shins BURN. I may try other Dove shower products in the future, but I’ll give this one a miss.

I REALLY wanted to love this, but it had several issues that annoyed me. The dry skin it caused made it hard to tell if my skin was irritated or just parched (more likely a combo of dry winter skin + this making it worse). I tried shaving with it and I needed a ton of lotion on my legs afterwards. I feel like the Nutrium Moisture thing is over hyped. What initially drew me to it was the scent, which is absolutely addicting, kind of sugary and sweet. I could see this being too sweet of a scent for some people to use everyday since it reminds me of floral mixed with marshmallow. However, later after drying off, my skin smelled like the scent from the sensitive “unscented” wash, which I don’t really like (yes, that one contains fragrance!). The lather was fine, luxurious like the bottle says, but I didn’t really feel clean after using it. There was just this uncomfortable residue all over. My arms also felt weirdly sticky after showering. Another reviewer below said this seems thicker than other Dove body washes, so maybe it’s that? Either way, I prefer stuff that leaves less of a film behind and will probably look beyond Dove for now.
**Tip for ladies – I’ve heard of many women getting yeast infections from using scented body washes in their sensitive area, especially ones that leave a residue. If you have repeat infections, stop using Dove or any scented stuff anywhere near there. Also, I recommend shaving with conditioner instead of drying body wash.

Terrible. It’s very thick (unlike any other Dove shower gels), it’s very difficult to lather or spread all over the body, and it’s nightmare to rinse off. It get stacked to my skin like a glue. It doesn’t moisturize. There are better options at Dove.

I sniffed this body wash at CVS while waiting for prescriptions and whoa! It smells SO nice! Like an expensive perfume. I usually buy higher end body washes because I can’t stand the cheap, generic scents of drugstore body washes, but this certainly does not smell cheap or generic. It smells SO lovely and the lather is soft and luxuriously pillowy. I’ll definitely repurchase it!
*edited to add, this scent reminds me a little of BBWs candle in lavender macaron for some reason!

The reviewer below reviewed the bar version of this product. I’m going to review the body wash version.
If you’re familiar with Dove body washes you’re already familiar with the luxurious feeling of them. They’re practically as moisturizing as a lotion & leave your skin feeling sooo soft & silky. A little goes a long way & the lather this stuff gives is heavenly.
One thing to note is the bar soap was described as smelling like a dessert. The body wash definitely pulls more floral. The peony takes the stage while the sweet cream lingers in the background. It’s a creamy floral, which is nice and quite feminine. I paid around $6 for this at Walgreens which is a pretty good deal considering you get 22fl oz of product.
I prefer the Pistachio Cream with Magnolia scent over this one. I’ve probably been through over ten of those.
I won’t repurchase any more Dove body washes though. While it’s been extremely easy for me to convert to cruelty-free makeup, I’ve been having a hard time going for cruelty-free body washes (the cheapest one I’ve found at Walgreens is Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus, which is awesome but costs $11 for 13fl oz.) Price is no excuse though when I can afford to spend a few extra dollars on something that wasn’t tested on animals.

This is my HG soap. I usually like to use body washes for convenience at the gym and quick morning showers but I also like to use a nice soap too. I picked this up willy nilly and when I first used it WOW! The scent of this is incredible, probably my favorite smell of any beauty product I have ever tried. Like a yummy, rich and expensive dessert. I’ve never written to a company before but I will write to Dove and ask them to pretty please make a deodorant and lotion out of this as well.
Not only does it smell amazing it performs amazing as well. All I need is a bar of this and a washcloth and I’m all set.
