Time warp lipstick! Carmine is THE 40’s lipcolor. Beautiful bright red-orange color that looks amazing with my fair-medium skin. I feel like Kathryn Hepburn in this lipstick. Super creamy and pigmented and has a satiny finish.
Yes, it’s tiny (smaller then my pinkie) and yes, I’m loath to put the cap back on for fear of cutting a chunk off the stick. But god! The color and texture more then make up for it’s shortcomings. I hope Besame continues to make carmine when they revamp their stock. Love Love Love!

I love this unique coral-red. I really love love bold bright reds, and I think this is the brightest boldest one I own. If you’re looking for something glamorous and wild, this is it. The packaging is gorgeous, but it seems like you get a tiny amount of product. I tend to end up throwing out half of an old unused lipstick, so I prefer a smaller sized product. A little bit really does go a long way. The staying power is good, but not exceptional. I still had to touch up after a dinner out.
