I really had high hopes for this product. The colour is so richly pigmented and beautifully matte black. When applied it looks really good and matte. My only issue with this is the nib of the applicator. The felt tip is flexible but the product just doesn’t flow all the way to the nib. You can’t draw the perfect wing because there isn’t any colour being deposited into the tip. I found that I had to keep pressing the side of the applicator at a weird angle to try and get a wing shape and then move the liquid around with the tip. When you do eventually find a way to create a sharp line it ends up patchy looking and not filled in correctly. If you keep going over your wing to try and make the colour deeper I found that you end up flaking it off. The formula itself is really nice but the applicator just lets it down and the older the pen is the worse the tip gets.

It took a minute to perfect how to get the look I wanted. This product is versatile. You can draw a very skinny line or apply pressure for a thicker result. I am using the brown color and I line the lower lid only (beneath the lashes) with this. I have fair, sensitive skin and blue eyes. No irritation! hooray! It stays in place, doesn’t flake, and goes on smoothly. BUT- I didn’t get the look I wanted for the top lid with this product. Right now, I’m using Stila Stay All Day eyeliner for a more dramatic top lid.

Only eyeliner I will ever/can ever buy!! While it’s not perfect- it smudged throughout the day- it is the only eyeliner that doesnt irritate my eyelids and doesnt fade and stays black. I’ve tried it all- Revlon, stila, bareminerals, almay, loreal, etc and none of them have worked for me. Sure clinique and physician formula’s didn’t irritate my eyes but they also ran & faded very easily.
Of course everyone’s sensitivities are different. I’d recommend (with any eye product in general too) patch testing it out on the inner of your elbow to feel if theres a reaction (burning/stinging) first before buying it.

I am always looking for a great liquid eyeliner and I generally like Benefit but after about 3 or 4 uses, I found this got sticky or never completely dried. If my eyes so much as thought about watering, it was all over. I was a complete raccoon for the rest of the day. And if this eyeliner got into my eyes as a result of this, it was game over.
I’m not sure if I needed a powder/setting spray after applying the eyeliner to get it to dry properly. Let’s just say there was some major make-up fail here for me. I don’t recommend it if you have sensitive eyes or plan on watching any Hallmark movies.

This stuff is amazing. It has the flexibility of a brush liquid liner and the precision of a felt-tipped liner. It has a hard time staying put if you just apply it as is, but as long as you use an eye primer and maybe a setting spray, it looks beautiful. A very good product overall!

I have been using this every day for the past 3 months and it is easily the best liquid eyeliner I have ever used. I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the liquid liner I have been looking for. I’ve been using the travel mini size and the nib is just now getting to where it’s not quite sharp and I need to replace. But it isn’t showing any signs of running out of liquid yet. This is extremely black, applies smoothly and on me it is completely smudge-proof, doesn’t flake and doesn’t budge once it’s dried. I put on a thick winged cat eye with this over eye primer and eye shadow and it stays in place all day. The downside to this is if you make a mistake applying it then it’s impossible to remove easily without taking off everything underneath it.
I don’t know why my experience with this eyeliner is so much better than the other reviews. I have also had no problems with the packaging. I’ve already re-purchased so I have one ready to go when my current eyeliner runs out. Other liquid eyeliners I’ve liked and repurchased haven’t been as good as this. Eyeko is close but fades before the end of the day. Kat Von D doesn’t apply as well and irritates my eyes. Bourjois Volume Clubbing is almost perfect but sometimes flakes. Roller liner doesn’t have any of these issues. The only thing I would change is for it to have a sharper/finer tip, but it’s not a problem as long as I’m precise with my application.

I want to love this! I really do! It came highly recommended. But it’s just not up to snuff. The pros are that it’s VERY black, has a nice fine tip, very easy to control, BUT – and this is HUGE for me – it does NOT stay put. At the end of the day this stuff is everywhere. It leaks into the corner of my eye, underneath my eye somehow, and onto my eyelid. I have never had this problem with liquid liner before. I use Stila liquid liner religiously and have never had that problem with it – will be going back to it.

I got this for free from Influenster. The best thing I can say is that it is extremely black – blacker than comparable liners from Kat von D, Stila, Physician’s Formula, and Nyx. Other than that, it’s underwhelming. It smudges and doesn’t last (though that does make it easier to remove, so I suppose that’s a plus) and the tip isn’t as stiff or precise as I would like. The packaging is attractive although I don’t think the cap ever goes on very securely. To top it off, Benefit isn’t cruelty-free. Given how black it is, I can see that this would work if you can get past all its flaws but for most people I don’t think it’s worth a purchase.

This was a major disappointment. I am a die hard liquid pen eye liner user, always looking for a better liner. It promises so much on the packaging. I can only believe that the trials for this liner were all carried out by women using it for up to one week only. During the first week of using this, i too adored it. The nib was fab, not too stiff, not too flexible. The ink flowed beautifully and it was very, very black. Made my job much quicker in the mornings. I did however notice that the lid never really felt like it was in properly. There was no satisfying click. Onto the second week of use. The dragging started. The nib point had a tiny little ‘bend’ at the tip…minuscule but there. It felt drier. I had to go over it twice. Nope. 10 days of use and it was driving me mad. My eyeliner was taking twice as long in the mornings now! The lid was driving me mad too….it went into the rubbish bin. I don’t live in a warm climate (UK) and I look after my eyeliners. This just wasn’t good enough.
