I rarely wear polish on my fingernails, but when I’m in the mood to paint them, this is the only color I use/own. It’s a very light, sheer pink/nude that looks super-natural and polished (tee hee). I have light, neutral-tone skin (Smashbox 1.1) and I just want to wear something that doesn’t stand out too much but isn’t my bare fingernails. I’ve had dalliances with Ballet Slippers (SO pink) and Allure (too yellow) but Skinny Dip is a very neutral color on me. On bare nails it’s pretty sheer after 2 coats, so I apply Essie Fill the Gap, then one coat of Skinny Dip, then a quick-dry top coat, and I get a great finish that last 4-5 days. The color is so natural that even when it begins to chip, it’s not terribly noticeable. My only gripe is that the applicator brush is thin and small, I wish it were bigger and more like a paddle, but oh well. I think Essie is a great value for the quality, and I would repurchase this shade.

Essie Skinny Dip is a sheer peachy pink polish from the Wild Nudes collection. I was specifically looking for a natural looking sheer polish and this one was easy to work with just looks healthy and clean on the nail.
For me the peach undertone in this polish was good for my complexion and a better match to my nail bed than some of the more pink nudes.
