I found this illuminator by accident as I was at cosmetic store looking for a new highlighter. The girl recommended me & when I tried the swatch on my hand, it looks beautiful glowing so of course I bought it & it was pricey!
The next day on my normal daily makeup routine to the office, I tried a pea drop to both my cheekbone. It was glowing but I really need to blend it out or else it looks patchy. In the afternoon after I noticed the glow has disappeared! 🙁
The next day I tried to spread about 3-4 drops to my cheek & cheekbones, my nose & on top my brows after my primer before my foundation, no such luck, could not see any visibility different 🙁
I tried again the same method but this time I waited a while for it to dries out before applying my foundation, again no effect! 🙁
So I started using it as a highlighter here and there underneath other powder highlighter for extra effect.
I do not use this as a primer, as I do use a face primer from Max factor & I loved it. I just bought my 2nd bottle! Smells weird but good coverage!
Yesterday I used this maximizer a pea drop & mixed it with my pea drop foundation. Then I see a something different in my makeup, my face gives a warm glow when I looked in the mirror when I came to the office. My face is still glowing until the evening when I back from the gym training! 🙂
I tried again today! Boy I am happy! The effect is wonderful, my skin looks nearly flawless 🙂 So this will be my new makeup method! 🙂
I use a brush to apply my foundation

This stuff is way too expensive to be so sub par. It made my makeup looking good for a solid six to eight hours, but it’s primary purpose, the illumination factor is very poor. When I put it in my face yes it’s gorgeous and glowy, but when I put on my foundation it fades. Everyone who buys primer plans on using foundation. I just don’t think this product was well thought out. One other thing I liked was the pump. It’s very efficient, but I once again is just not worth it.

This product promises so much, and delivers so little! I wanted a magic potion to make me look more radiant, sculpted, and generally more youthful and glowing – and apparently this would do the trick (according to Dior). It was quite hard to get hold of in the UK, so I ordered it online, not having tried a sample at a beauty counter. I was impressed with the packaging; hygienic and easy to dispense, no leaking and really neat. However the product itself is insanely shiny and glittery! It states you can apply it to your entire face, I haven’t yet tried this for fear of being mistaken for a disco ball, but I have tried applying to the tops of my cheek bones to get some contouring going on…. At first it looks really unnatural, it’s a VERY high shine formula and very slippery so it takes a small amount and some careful blending, as you can get a tide-mark effect if you don’t blend it. It did sit nicely with a powder blusher, no patchiness etc, and it does have a very lightweight feel to it. However, after about an hour or two the product had completely disappeared from my face. I have dry skin, so I was very surprised it had such little staying power.
So disappointed, too much effort on application for so little staying power.
