This was not a great product. I used it as a shampoo substitute in the evenings, as it claims it can be used daily, weekly, or whenever in place of a shampoo.
It’s light tan and the consistency of water. It smells like apple cider vinegar, but doesn’t leave any scent in my hair. After wetting your scalp and hair and squeezing out any excess water, it has a pointy nozzle that you twist to open. You’re supposed to make small parts in your hair and squeeze the product directly onto your scalp, massage it in, and leave for 1-3 minutes before rinsing. If you have long hair they also advise adding some about mid-length.
For me, it just didn’t work and wasn’t pleasant to use. I like to use products I enjoy while I shower. To feel like this was doing anything I had to use quite a bit of it. The first time, I used too little, so I increased the amount until I felt it was enough. It doesn’t lather at all and massaging it in just didn’t seem to do much in terms of cleansing. I followed it up with my regular conditioner on the ends of my hair. As a personal preference, I like my shampoos to lather up and have a strong pleasant fragrance, and this didn’t (but I’m not taking points away for that since it’s a personal preference).
The results were disappointing. After just a few days, it left my hair feeling heavy and limp. It kept my hair shiny and took away the frizz, but that’s because it left so much residue/oil in my hair. There’s also a build up of dead skin on my scalp now, so it terms of cleansing, this just wasn’t it for me.
This wasn’t worth it and I’ll be switching back to my regular shampoo tonight.

I never write reviews, but this stuff is awesome! I have very long, thick, fine blonde hair and I love how this works. I can actually comb through my wet hair with no leave on conditioners! I get compliments on how healthy my hair looks when I use this. Haven’t shampooed with anything else in a month. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive.

I don’t understand why this has high ratings. I’ve used other detoxifying scalp products in the past but this is awful. It leaves my scalp itchy and extremely oily, my hair itself looks super oily and feels like there is a film on it. I washed it out very well too. Day 1 and I honestly feel like I have day 4 hair… not clean at all. I’m sticking to my Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub.

I’ve purchased this product several times and although I’ve tried other ACV root rinse’s I always come back to this one. Root rinse is meant to offer a deep cleaning and detox for the scalp. I like to do a root rinse once a week for a fresh scalp. However what I love about this as opposed to other ACV root rinse’s is it contains oils to nourish your hair but it doesn’t make you hair greasy at all. Other ACV root rinse’s work great on my scalp but leave the rest of my hair greasy, this doesn’t at all! If you have color treated hair this product is gold you can confidently detox your scalp without stripping away color (we all know how expensive hair color is). This is miracle in a bottle! Lastly your hair will not smell like vinegar after!

I have wavy/curly hair with a lot of gray which tends to be dry,as well as thinning hair. I remember my mother rinsing my hair as a child with ACV and water to remove all traces of shampoo. When I came across this dphue product I decided to give it a try. It is not actually a rinse, more of a shampoo. I use this every few days instead of my regular routine as a clarifying wash. This replaces shampoo and conditioner. It rinses out easliyand leaves my hair soft and shiny and gives me more volume.
I follow this with some Palmer’s Olive Oil Hair Milk and let my hair dry naturally and I have beautiful frizz free ringlets!
Yes, it does smell a bit like vinegar but there are some other ingredients which soften the scent to a degree and it doesn’t leave my hair smelling like vinegar.
The price is high, no question there, but well worth it for me.

Worst product I have tried this year. I am confused by what this is supposed to do. I mean, I have used home-made apple cider vinegar hair rinses on and off for years now and it leaves my hair shiny and smooth. This product does not in any way smell like apple cider vinegar, which as I am sure you know, has really strong scent. So since this smells like soap and not vinegar, there cannot be much vinegar in here at all. And why is this product soapy if it is meant to be a hair rinse? See why I am befuddled by this product? The other ingredients are silicones and hair conditioning ingredients. This leaves my hair looking and feeling like crap. It leaves a filmy residue on my hair and dulls the natural shine of my hair.
