I had been lusting after this palette pretty much from the moment it came out and (minus the price tag) it has not disappointed! At $52 it is not cheap at all and I waited for a sale to buy. The palette comes with a free flat-tapered brush that is perfect for application. The palette’s packaging is very sleek and beautiful. It also comes with a very secure closure and large mirror. The shadows on the inside are all beautiful jewel tones. They feel soft while the pink-blue duochrome / transforming shade (Abracadabra) feels more gritty. Abracadabra is fairly sheer (because it is a highlighter / transforming shade) and not quite like a normal eyeshadow. It should not be treated as one, it is definitely meant to be more like a topper. Due to how sheer the shade is it is best to go in with a clean brush before going from another eyeshadow to Abracadabra because it will stain / get stuck in the pan. This is on the only shade I felt I had difficulty picking up, but once it is applied it is very sparkly! The other shades, on the other hand, are all highly pigmented and extremely easy to pick up and apply. None of the shadows has required a wet brush or finger application for pop, they are all impactful alone. Of particular note I found the shades Armageddon, Myth, and Sorrow to be standouts in the sparkle department. One other note is that Immortal can take a little bit longer to apply for some reason, but the payoff is worth it. Finally, the shadows are all very long lasting. I have not noticed any fade on me and have even had several shades survive an accidental nap! I highly recommend this palette for lovers of sparkly jewel-toned shadows, but I also recommend that anyone interested buy with a discount or wait for a sale.
